Casper.... Our side is young. And in under 20s that nakes a huge difference.
We have 2-3 guys that look good but none who will make first grade for atleast 2 year. Ailoai didnt play and I hear he looks the goods.
Halves are garbage and so is most the forward pack. We had 4 tries that we just missed out on due to last minute defense.Could of been a different score today

Twal was best on park imo.
Tigers just have physcialy stronger guys who wont do much in the top grade. If we can bring 1-2 player each year from under 20s to first grade we are doing well!!

From watching on tv

Twal and fuaimano are first grade prospect for 2017.
Remis smith looks ok too.Just a bit young and not physically big enough yet.
Davis made 3 bad reads in defense.Trotted to the line to many times and lacked enthusiasm. Made one nice break but no way can I see him playing first grade before 2017.
Bevan has some skill.May end up another albert kelly thou.
So those 5 are the only guys I think may have a future.
The rest I doubt would go anywhere from what I saw.Only one game thou.
See how they go this week v higher on the table titans. Bevan might have chosen the wrong club.

From what I've seen of him I think he's 12 months away from pushing for first grade. He'll probably train part-time with the First Grade squad over the off-season and I think he'll impress. I think he'd be the perfect fullback for a Foran and Norman halves combination and the forward pack that we have. Can back-up those offloads, with pace, but can also finish off a backline movement with either quick feet or through his pass.

But then again, he mightn't be ready. We'll just have to take him, like every young player, week by week and assess their chances then. He should play NSW cup next year at the very least.

How old is this Bevan?

Seriously?

We cannot find an outside back to save ourselves at the moment and a kid who turns 20 next year isn't getting a look in?

Is he really going to be this superstar player that people are making out he is?

As a general rule, lower your expectations of our juniors by approximately 75% of the hype they receive on here.

Too true

For those regular watchers of junior reps and under 20s, how does he stack up to Jacob Loko at the same age?

Yeah I haven't really seen him play much but he hasnt really been in our system a long time like a lot of other players. Only joined the eels last year having never done weights.

While country footy is no indicator of NRL success, he must be a fairly tough kid, was playing first grade in country footy at 16/17 with a jockey build.

I think he rocked up last year at around 70kg and is now pushing 90kg. Had a few clubs chasing him

He's not an outside back, he is a playmaker. Also not very big. Matterson dominated NYC and is big and he's nowhere near first grade. He turns 21 this year. French is only 19 this year.

Loko was dominating NYC the year he turned 19 but is also very big, which makes the transition to first grade easier. Even then, he was a terrible defender.
