What do people who watch the Under 20s think our plans will be for ZDC at the end of this season. Is he probably more suited to the 9?

Do you know how much input the actual Under 20's coach has in the picking of the actual team? I would've thought the NRL coach would have a massive input into the selections of the Wenty and Under 20s team.

I personally don't think he'll be here past this season, there'll be a few clubs that will come along with better offers. One being the Panthers, as they can offer him an easier path to first grade.

I don't think the first grade coach has any say. He's too busy focusing on the first grade team to worry about who he's going to select for the 20's.

If Pritchard was too small for first grade he wouldn't have a contract this year. He wouldn't have played first grade already either.

He might be too injury prone for professional rugby league though. Or just not good enough. I'm interested to see if we bother to retain him beyond this year. At least he's not carving up for Wenty or clubs might be throwing top 25 money at him.

You'd have to think given his lack of game time over the last 2-3 seasons he wouldn't have too many suitors breaking down his door for a run.

Is there a limit to the amount of second tier contracts a club can actually have?

I don't think so. As long as none of them earn more than the 25th highest paid player at the club you can have as many as you want. They only count against the second tier cap ($440k) if they play first grade.

We have 39 NRL-contracted players this year (according to the unreliable official site), meaning at least 14 of them are outside the top 25.

Raeli gets us underway with Twal to follow. The captain made a good run there. Solid set straight up and Jason Vidal is the kicking options as he hoofs it down field.

Nifty work around the ruck from the Titans and they pick up a penalty as Parra bring up the last tackle.

The kick for touch and resume play 10m off Parra's goal line. Time off for a bit of blood I think.

Big right edge shift from the Titans but Bush I think it was made a great tackle. Could have been Izzard as well.

Another penalty to the Titans, came in the ruck.

Movement to the Titan's left edge now but the Eels mark up well.

Good line speed in front of the posts and Parra survive the extended raid as the kick from the visitors rolls dead.

Izzard has a run down the left. Twal settles the Eels for an attacking kick but Vidal's option of the last - the bomb - is too deep and is taken in goals for a 20m restart.

Good shot from Reimis Smith there! Titans attacking the Eels' left edge there but stopped flat in their tracks.

The Titans bomb towards Davis and Gafa but lose the ball forwards in the contest for a turnover.

Another completed set for the Eels, this time French is the kicker but he too can only manage to pick out one of the back three for the Titans.

Another penalty late in the count for the Titans, starting to add up now with the Eels yet to notch up a penalty.

Titans on the attack again and the pressure comes to a breaking point as the visitors crash over next to the posts. Odd try, truth to be told, as the Titans forward just about stumbled through two defenders to score.

The conversion is successful.

Titans lead Parra 6-0

8min gone.

Too easy for the Titans there, simply striding through our left edge defence. Might have been Smith the culprit there.

French has to make a try saving cover tackle and does so.

The Eels scramble well to stop the Titans from opening the flood gates and on the last the Titans have a genuine chance to score from a cross field kick but Miski does enough to separate the catcher from the ball and get a 20m restart.
