Good in roads by Reimis Smtih there after getting some early ball and Parra finally get into the attacking red zone.

French zips in down the right and rolls it in behind almost perfectly! Davis chases through and grabs the ball going oh-so-close to scoring but the ball squirrels out into touch.

What's this? A Parra feed to the scrum? I will take it.

Bit of nospam29 early on this set but some class from Bevan French proves enough to crack the defensive line of the Titans!

Again he is involved down the right and throws the cut out ball to Gafa who just strolls over.

Great run from Fuimaono. Amone with a solid follow up.

French down the left now as he links up with Smith to no real result.

Izzard bombs to our right where Davis soars up and takes something of a speccy, he quickly throws a ball over the shoulder to Gafa and Atini pins his ear for the line.

The Gold Coast fullback comes across in cover but Gafa steps off his right and brushes past him to score out wide.

The conversion is unsuccessful.

Another run for Twalm this one from the kick off. Amone and Raeli to follow before the Eels spin the ball to Fuimaono down the right who earns our first penalty of the game.

Nice touch finder from Davis who also takes the tap restart.

Raeli centres the pill right to the posts before the Eels line up with a left-edge set play. French gets the ball two wide of the ruck throws a dummy to the left and goes damn close to scoring but the ref rules he has was aided by an obstruction.

The Titans make the most of the reprieve with an offload down their left edge netting them another line break. Missed who was to blame there. French again makes the cover tackle but the line is in tatters and the Titans crash over out wide on our right from the next play.

Poor stuff all round.

Big difference in every team between the haves and have nots. For every player that is a future first grader there is someone who is on peanuts. A limited salary cap in NYC creates this disparity. As a result the standard can look very ordinary.

Good shot forcing an error there! Penalty to follow for holding down in the subsequent turnover tackle.

Muna steams into the line for the first, Vidal throwing a flat ball to Tyrell on the next. Sloppy stuff for the next two tackles but we net another penalty.

Davis with the initial run now. Vidal throws a long cut out down the left but it was against a shooting defensive line and I think it was Amone that dropped it.

Titans then pick up a penalty and will go on the attack yet again.

Important knock down from Gafa there. Titans squandered a 3-on-1.

Some fortune for the Eels afterwards as the Titans make an unforced error.

Good runs from Twal and Tepu-Smith this set. The Eels get to their kick but again find the winger on the full. Poor end to the set.

Some second phase ball for the Titans but the Eels hold out. Miski fields the kick on the full. Gafa makes a helpful run but from the following play-the-ball the Eels produce a forward pass from dummy half.

Awful error.

Another over lap for the Titans down our right but Gafa makes the shut down play again.

The Titans come down our left but again we stick firm and bring up the last and the Titans look for an attacking kick to our posts.

Tyrell Fuimaono jumps up and nabs the ball but he was in the field of play and is driven in goals for a drop out.

Another penalty comes for the Titans, high shot maybe? Tap and go for the Gold Coast.

They are opening us up a bit but their shift down our right unravels and Gafa scoops up a loose pass. Makes an excellent gain as well before Paula Kaufusi earns a penalty against at retreating defensive line. Things heat up as Kaufusi throws the ball at the culprit but it is handbags at 10 yards.

Davis makes a monstrous gain from the touch finder as the Eels set up shop for a left edge play where French once again chimes in perfectly as he throws the cut out to Miski.

Abbas looks to have scored but the Titans have challenged the call. Not looking good for the Eels. It is touch and go and indeed it has been over turned.

Loose carry from the Titans there, after what may have been a forward pass.

Good result for the Eels as they pack in for a scrum 15m shy of half way.

Miski is used from the scrum win with Kaufusi to follow. He draws a second penalty as the Titans lay all over him.

Fuimaono is the man for the first hit up. Jack Anderson is on and he plays the ball at the line with a short ball to Kaufusi which puts the bench prop into open space. Only the fullback to beat and Paula has no problems brushing past him to score next to the posts.

The conversion is successful.

Jack Morris is back from injury and starts his 2015 campaign with a solid run. Good to see him back!

Izzard gets attacked as he kicks the ball on the last and Parra will get the penalty from the spotting of the ball.

Good carry from Fuimaono before Izzard takes on the line like a backrower. Bush looks for a barge over but is held out with ease before a quick but messy passing down our left sees the Titans make an intercept with 2min on the clock.

Miski comes in field for a useful carry. Plenty of work down by the outside backs this set actually. Morris with his second carry as Izzard finds the carpet on the last. The balls rolls straight to the fullback though and the Titans will have one last crack.

We are at all sorts with out retreating line but the Titans make an error as the desperately look for second phase ball. Another helpful break for our boys there.

And that will do us in the first half with neither team setting their scrum to stop the clock.
