I love the way when the game was there to win Brasington stood up both in attack and the conversion from the side line. Cool as a cuecumber this kid. Also loved Docker Clays courage in defence. Hes a tough kid that one. Gorman wasnt afraid to tackle either and his footwork was amazing. Brasington at the back made pretty much every tackle he attempted. Definately looks the good this one but he needs to grow a body. Wasnt afraid to confront the Cronulla runaway players.
I think a lot of the forwards need to stand up though. Huge potential but the Cronulla forwards continually poked themselves through the tackle and many a time dragged Parra forwards with them. This was most dissappointing.
Broadhurst did one lovely tackle but generally he is an arm grabber. Falau also has much defensive work to do to be a genuine prospect.
Lots to like about this team but poor handling and lack of authority in defence amongst the forwards was particularly dissappointing.

Brasington has a bit of Scott Hill about him. Very composed. People thought Jonathan Thurston was skinny too. Just saying.

The Good:

Pritchard, play like a young Robbie Farah with the one handed scoops.
Tuitahi runs pretty hard

The Ugly:
Broadhurst- he's shite
Diamond Charlie is a waste of space

Ah yes, I forgot about the ranga No.6. He looks a gun. Imagine finding a kid like that playing park footy and never played jnr reps etc. Happy for him.

Jerome Mackenzie and dylan gilbert never played junior reps and also skipped the NYC system... And they both scored full time gigs at the club... Whilst its not common it's knowned to happen on the odd occassion.

Can't believe tepai was dropped and some of the crap like Diamond Charlie keeps his spot.

The SG Ball lists are not out yet but maybe he was drafted in for their finals campaign? (If eligible)

I too would be disappointed if he was dropped, however I find Broadhurst and Latham to be more frustrating selections when compared to Diamond Charlie.

Anyway, in some interesting selection news...our high profile NYC recruit Tui Kamikamica looks like he is getting his first cap this season. Good luck to the big fella.

Yes sir, he is also a Fijian Schoolboy Rugby Union rep. There was a bit of media hype behind his signing as there were apparently quite a few NRL clubs gunning for his signature.

So he makes his debut for Holden cup???

What was he playing before, and how has he been going??
