Their for and against would suggest that they should have been in the 8. It's a shame they didn't quite get there this year. I hope next year all our grades fire.

Looks as if both Ava and Pj wont be with us next year .I have liked Pj for some time he has a good offload and makes a lot of metres but front row is an area we have a lot of depth in.

Looks like we are losing four props with Pele and Manese leaving the club also!

Front row depth for next year looks like:

Fui
Mannah
Poore
Shackleton
Allgood
Terepo

Am i missing someone who can play prop?

thats a fair amount of talent on the way out of its true

Both PJ and Ava have both had their moments but have also been easily dominated by the big boppers from Canberra, wests tigers and saints, we tend to over rate these kids a little too much, I'd prefer to trust the better judgement of our coaching staff..

We do indeed.

Seems every player that leaves the Eels is the next Sterlo/Kenny/Ella/Price/whoever. The fact is the last time we lost a player who went on to play at rep level (ie. Origin or international), was Willie Tonga eight years ago.

The biggest mistakes we've made as a club haven't been losing players we should have kept; it's paying big money to players we should have f**ked off ASAP.

Who have we kept that had their debut in the past 8 years that went on to represent. Is it just Tim Mannah? Surely there must be more...
Our juniors stink. That is a lot of bikkies spent per capita when only rep players are calculated. I wonder how this compares to other clubs?

Mannah and Hayne. That's it.

There's also Inu who played for the Kiwis in his rookie season and has only played another 3 games since. All the while getting paid as an international class player.

Honestly after the way both of them played last year who would have wanted the club to pay Mateo 400k and Inu around 250-270k a season????
