Interesting opinion from someone who lives on the other side of the country and has never seen either player perform live.
Seeing them perform live is hardly relevant. I’ve seen enough promising young players not make it to know which indicators are relevant and which aren’t. Their performance on the field against age limited opposition means little. Making the Australian Schoolboys team means only slightly more. Selection in this junior Origin fixture means a fair bit more, and so on.

I’m not saying Lynn and Fualema won’t make it, just that I think it is extremely unlikely. This is based on their age at recruitment by our club as well as their exposure to higher grades at their current age (both 19).

I think our best prospects in Flegg are Talagi, Sanders and Tuivati. No surprises two of these were selected in this under 19s Origin match. I believe Tuivati is eligible next year as well. Obviously Talagi is injured or I’m sure he’d be there too.

You also rated Jake Arthur. That didn’t end well.

He is young enough to be playing Flegg with these merkins and has already played in an NRL grand final. He has been an NRL top 30 player since he was Josh Lynn’s age, so yes his career has progressed very well actually.

I'd argue that Jake Arthur's career has actually stagnated. He made his debut more than 2 years ago, but has he improved significantly over the course of those two years. I'd say he is about the same.

I note Jake played 57 mins last weekend. Cooper Johns played 80, Jamie Humphreys played 49 mins.
Looks like Jake started at 7 and played 31 mins until Humpherys came on then Jake shifted to 9 for 26 minutes before the starting 9 returned at the 57th minute replacing Jake. Looks like Seibs is trialing using Jake between 7 and 9 such as BA did.

hmmmm so he’s not keeping his spot in reserve grade. Interesting.

Nope, Arthur played halfback right up until 44-0 when he got an early shower. Humphreys came on and played hooker when GCKT had a break and then halfback when Arthur went off and GCKT came back on.

Sea Eagles match report describes Arthur as halfback and Humphreys as a utility: https://www.seaeagles.com.au/news/2...cord-dominant-42-point-win-over-the-roosters/
