Raiders score out wide, after a six again call
Earlier in the set we dropped the ball out short and Beau Newlands got fingertips to it but lost if forward

Jock Brazel is having a stellar defensive game
Conversation successful
Eels 16-12 9 to go

Their try scored from a dubious penalty where the referee claimed that Parramatta attacked the legs of the kicker, but it seemed for all at the game that the Canberra player ran into his own player and not an Eel

Mate I would say something to do with the previous coach...
It's easier for younger players to get a run in a shit squad. We have quality halves so Sanders misses out. But we have more opportunities in the outside backs so Talagi gets a run. Maybe it's time to give Booooods an opportunity?

As well as Talagi, the previous coach also gave Brown and Penisini a start while they were still in their teens.

This is the first time I’ve seen them in a couple of weeks but yes, they are playing some very different football to earlier in the year. As I’ve said, I am a big fan of Jock Brazel the captain and he was inspirational today there were a couple of times where he caused an Error by the Raiders just because they looked up and saw him coming

They've had one appearance by a teenager this year and they lost at home. Last year they also had one appearance by the same teenager (McLean) and they also lost at home. In 2022 they had eight appearances by teenagers (Cole x1 plus Turuva x3 and Tago x4 before they turned 20) for five wins. Well below their 85% win rate that year.

Our teenager has won two from ten this year, which is much less than our 29% win rate. Teenagers generally make shit NRL players. You don't win with a team full of broken old merkins but you also don't win with kids.
