hasler never started 0-4 either. i believe they actually won there first 7 that year.
In Hasler's first year Manly won 9 lost 15. Not great by any means, but a lot better than 6 wins, 1 draw, and 17 losses.

Most of the players contracted past this year were extended last year when we were miles under the cap. If anything they would be front-loaded.
i was talking about the 2 year he was in chargeIn Hasler's first year Manly won 9 lost 15. Not great by any means, but a lot better than 6 wins, 1 draw, and 17 losses.
well, do you also have a problem with the rest of the board not stopping Duncan doing his thing on ozzie??
Who takes responsibility for that then? The only players contracted beyond this year as a result of the previous coaching staff are Hayne and Horo. The rest of the squad were either signed or retained by Kearney and co, or are uncontracted beyond this season. Please don't tell me we upgraded the contracts of players like Keating, Lasalo, Loko and Morgan to the point it's affecting our salary cap space for next season.
Hasler was also showing improvement every year he was coaching up until they won it. Your insulting hasler by comparing the 2.
2004 they finished 10th
2005 they finished 8th
2006 they finished 5th
2007 they finished 2nd & were runners up
2008 they won the thing
Kearney is no where near haslers coaching capabilities & the team hasler took over was a worse basket case than this club is. They were a week away from going under
Two things:
1. Hasler finished 13th in his first season (out of 15 teams), not 10th.
2. This season isn't over and I'm positive we'll finish in the eight after we get Hayne back.
There's no quotes in the article about who is going to be let go. Kearney will make the decision and he sure as he'll ain't going to tell the telegraph about it.
Hayne and Horo must be on huge increases next year if we aren't going to have alot of cash to spend if we offload Hindy, Burt, Shakleton, Smith, Poore etc.
I still reckon we will have a shitload to spend if we get rid of these blokes.
I'm not a Parramatta supporter

Nrl stopped doing that after the bulldogs found a loop hole.
1 thing. Hasler never lost 4 in a row to start his second season either.
Many knew about Glen Duncan Muzza... I knew he was a culprit... so did many others.
So why did Roy not put an end to this?
He had the power to do it, obviously with support from other directors or were they bound to the Pirtek $$$$$ blackmail as well?
Were the Pirtek $$$$$ more important than the best interests of the club.?
that quote from shack is worrying.
hard times at the club
kearney needs to clean the place out, players need to understand why this is happening. feel sorry for hindy if this is how it's going to end for him though. he should retire on his own terms. but sk also needs to show he isn't f**king around
Hasler never had his best player injured for 300 minutes of those four games either.
god you talk crap. We have missed player. SO from my understanding we were a man team from 2009 until 2011. So Longface rectified that by bringing in sandow & roberts.
Even though he has 3 playmakers now we are still a 1 man team. Withought hayne we still cant win. wow your are too funny.
How did you have time to post during the game stephen
Mate, the Knights ran last the year Andrew Johns was injured. Even with NSW hooker Buderus on their books. They started the year with 13 straight losses then won 8 of 11 when Johns came back into the team.
That's why players of his and Hayne's calibre are considered irreplaceable - because you can't replace them.
We didn't bring Sandow to the club to win games on his own; we signed him so Hayne wouldn't have to.
