Kearney will have to tell someone - namely players, admin, and player managers. You can't try to sign a new team without letting on what positions are up for grabs. And once you start telling people it is only a matter of time before the media finds out. You reckon that player managers and blazer wearers don't get something out of leaking a few stories?
Nobody really expects a coach or CEO to give the media quotes about who he is going to cut, not publicly anyway. They tell the media off the record. That way the club insider stays anonymous, the fans can call BS, and the journo can use his source again.
The DT story reads like a nice little 2 + 2 effort, pull a few strings together and name the usual names. But I don't think too many Parra fans would argue with the players nominated for the chop.
