300,000 more apparently of our originally reported offer of 1 million. If Canberra were supposed to match our offer that they reported of 1.5 million they came up short.
Anyways, move on. We now have to wait for Brisbane to tell us they are keeping Corey Norman yet.
As for your gut Avenger, I would recommend an endoscopy.![]()
Well done R69.
And crumbs... but at least now we're cashed up to go after our next target - either at teh Raiders, or maybe Heighington starting from Round 2 if he has a get out clause :sarcasm:?
Wow we are the biggest joke. Only way is to invest in juniors and poach the best up and coming ones by offering overs.
Hey Old Man - what if the lady only dated the second bloke to make the first one jealous?
That sucks! I hope we get the engagement ring back.
Might I suggest that our offer was more likely the $1.3mill he got then?
In the end, it's the way the system is set up to work, and unsurprisingly we're the first club to get the short end of it
Sucky situation for you guys, but at least its now resolved.
Herald are reporting that we are intending taking the issue to court.

I suspect we might re-consider this action (if true). Even if a court finds he has breached a binding agreement, it's hard to see them enforcing specific performance (i.e. making him play for a club he doesn't want to go to) will result, and it's hard to see how we could demonstrate significant damages at this point.
So an ungrade of 330k + per season to keep him, and we get laughed at for paying overs..................
A contract is a contract - we won't be letting him go without a fight
To say we are disappointed by Josh's decision to not see through his verbal and written agreements to join the Parramatta Eels next season is an understatement. We are building something special here and we are only interested in people who are strong and committed joining this organisation
Compensation.
Besides, if anything, the complaint should be lodged with the ARLC. They are the ones that ratify the contracts.
I really hate the idea of courts getting involved in things like this. It's like when teachers enforcing rules for a children's game of hide and seek.
