Mate i've said all along the forward pack is below par that loses the collisions and rucks. I don't get the serious man love for Paulo who is just a 2012 version of Dean Widders.

Obviously Stuart realises this with the expected recruitment drive thats going to happen.

The forward pack isn't below par. The coaching of the forwards was below par.

I agree mate.

I don't get the serious man love for Paulo who is just a 2012 version of Dean Widders.

He's turning out better than I thought he would but he'll never be Feleti Mateo. That's good for our defence I suppose, but Paulo isn't any kind of game breaker.

Obviously Stuart realises this with the expected recruitment drive thats going to happen.

The addition of Lussick will add some much needed aggression, and Harrison will add some depth. Then there's that extra season's worth of experience that will benefit Allgood, Ryan and Nathan Smith and we'll be ok.

Out of next year's pack, Mannah and Maitua are above average first graders. Keating, Moimoi, Lussick and Ben Smith are all average. Everyone else is below par at the moment, but with another off season under their belts, all the young/inexperienced forwards - Allgood, Ryan, Nathan Smith, Lussick, Harrison, Lasalo, O'Hanlon - will all be better players.

We won't have a good pack next year, but it will certainly be better than it is right now.

You only need to do a cleanout when you take over from a shit coach. Stuart is taking over from an absolute gun so we will be successful straight away.

Yeah such a gun, that he managed to coach us to third last and last respectively. What would you of called him had we managed to win the minor premiership?

He is exactly like Dean Widders was looks a million dollars coming off the bench when his team is on top.

i've never understood where johns was coming out from he points fingers out our leadership group;

hindmarsh - can't question
burt - yes you can
maitua - not lately
ben smith - at times you can
jarry hayne - yes you can
mannah - can't question
keating - honest toiler

who exactly is it that johns has a problem with? we're not going to get rid of hayne and burt/hindy's gone next season anyway.

this leadership culture issue is myth

What you fail to mention or realise Poo is our forwards failed to dominate the speed of the play the ball/ruck in the games you mention and most games we keep losing. Therefore no matter how many times someone like Sandow touches the ball it matters little.

The opportunities just won't be there. On the other hand in the two wins we have just had he handled the ball less yes, but with the dominance of the ruck going our way, due to a lack of fire/go forward of the piss weak opposition, all of our players were on the front foot for the majority of the game and that includes Sandow who thrives in environments of forward moving attack while defenses are retreating.

Also our defenders lost the plot straight after half time, until Hindmarsh came back on to do what others don't seem willing or capable in doing and that is show some real fortitude and ticker in defense for the entire 80 mins.

Just on that, for people who still think that Kearney should have been persisted with or kept till the end of his contract. Look at how a coach who is thinking and is adaptable to change mid stream when things aren't going to plan.

When he saw that the team had lost their defensive compass after HT he quickly reacted to the situation and put Hindy straight back on who stopped the rot and saved the game form being an absolute embarrassment for us all. Even Matty Johns highlighted it on NRLxtra showing Hindy running around in back play and cover defense doing what only Hindy does.

Now I ask you would Kearney have moved so quickly and changed his interchange tactics? Well history tells us no f**king way.

He failed to react multiple times earlier in the year when Hindmarsh was sitting on the bench with Fui and our defense was non existant.

Arthur has demonstrated in one week that he is a far better coach than Kearney with the runners in motion behind the line, the support play and the flexibility of interchange to allow adaptation when the situation goes awry.

jarry hayne - yes you can

What empirical fact do you use to base this assertion on?

Just because someone has little to no facial expression and likes to look "cool" does not equal lack of effort.

The reason Johns is wrong with his comments is that we don't really have a "senior player group". We have a lot of young blokes or blokes new to the club.
B Smith and Maitua have missed games.
Fui just does his thing
He's said it's not Hindy.
So unless he's trying to say Luke Burt and Shack have been the great underminers?!?!?

Nah. Can't see it sticking from those 2.

The fact Hayne went shopping instead of going to the Manly irrespective of the coach give him time off shows lack of leadership.

So you want a wild cannon who doesn't do what he is told as a "leader".

Well we'd need a new coach every 4-5 months if that was the case.

I suppose we've been heading in that direction, so you might get your wish.

But who is this wild cannon that you're thinking of who just won't do what the coach tells them?!?!?!?
