That's essentially what I meant. Applicants have to be 3yr+ members. Small pool.No they have to be min. 3 year paid members of the PLC. I don't think you need to be a season ticket holder.

Agreed. It might ensure the applicants all 'love the (leagues) club' even though it doesn't, but I'm not sure a prior love for the club is necessary or even helpful in a decision maker. Plenty of players come here and play well despite supporting rival clubs as a child. They perform due to personal pride, and probably grow to love the club much like an arranged marriage on the subcontinent. Either way, they prove that prior love for the club and its fans is unnecessary. How much less so for key decision makers that are supposed to make rational, strategic decisions? It's disgraceful and the one thing that is holding us back and ensuring mediocrity prevails.
It's the first issue that any of these three groups should have as their platform.
I bet the board of Coca Cola Amatil don't drink the shit
I think item 1 on any agenda should be separating the PLC and PNRL boards completely.
Given that the PLC funds the NRL team, it's fair to give the PLC a number of board seats, but I would rather that they be separate things completely, so that one board does not effect the other, like it is now.

Will reply to both of these later today/tonight when I get the chance to drag out the constitution and check some stuff first.
I heard this bloke is a mad Parra fan.
If he was on our board I don't think we would be cheating the cap.

Hopefully he puts his hand up if the Merit Proposal gets the go ahead.
Hopefully he is a 3+ year member you mean.
Would be good to have an SC on the board, will all the legal scrapes we're prone to...From what I understand he is.

That's fair.. I imagine most people who'd be good for this share that feeling.I also know of a SSH who is a partner at a major city law firm. He told me he would not touch it with a 10 foot pole. Apart from not having the time to dedicate to the task, it would be a PR disaster for his practice if merkins managed to sabotage and run amok like the have over the past decade.
We need to look at people into extreme sports...Hence why the small pool is even smaller. You are really walking into a furnace not knowing if your corporate reputation will come out the other end undamaged.
I think the EGM needs to be called within 1 month of the club receiving the valid request from the 101 members and held within 2 months.I reckon we will get notice in early August. God only knows what they are waiting for though.

This would mean the EGM needs to be called by the 24th July and held by the 24th August
tomorrow is D day is it not?..
if the board fail to call an EGM anyone of the signatories can do it??
