That's nice and all, but he doesn't elect the new Chairman does he?

Look for a old boy ambush at the election... put your house on it.

Get ready to head back into the dark ages peeps. Max shouldn't have stepped down before he made sure the oldies could get back in.
That was arguably his most important task IMO, he failed that and got us a spoon for equal measure. Good riddance.

I missed the part where he put boots on and played all 13 positions.
Well He’s in charge of the club, surely some responsibility falls on his shoulders???

Or it’s just no ones fault at the club??? Just bad luck I suppose......

Dumb arses want to make something ENTIRELY one person's fault because that is all their feeble brains can handle.

When you have been as shit as we have recently then virtually everyone associated with club has to accept blame for that.

Reforms will come one way or another. Either the factions grow up and vote through the current mandate with the concessions that have been made for them or the reforms get put in without concession and it makes for a much longer process.

Max is still involved, he hasn't left.

Who’s saying it’s just Franks fault FFS??? It was a response to Ash’s simplistic post.

We know it been a team effort of shitness.

But as chairman he has had two main jobs.

1 - Get rid of the f**kpuppet faction clowns

2 - Insure the coach and team have been given every conceivable chance to succeed.

Can you honestly say he has done either of those things?? And now he’s skulking away before the end of the season.

As I said good riddance.

If Max continued in the Chairman role then the nutriders would be whinging about all the money being spent.

Skulking away ? Comprehension was not your forte at school, was it ? He is still about and not going away. He is still the Temporary Administrator of Parramatta Leagues Club, just not Chairman. He is stepping down to focus on the next stage of governance reforms !

After calling Hineyrulz a f**king deathrider Max said:
I wanted to be the first inform you that after nearly two years as Chairman of the Parramatta Eels Club, I will be stepping down to focus on the next stage of the Parramatta Leagues Club (PLC) governance reform process. I will however, remain on the Parramatta Eels Club Board as one of the two PLC-nominated Directors.

When I became Parramatta Eels Chairman in 2016 my intention was always to oversee a smooth transition to a new Chairman at the appropriate time. I am pleased to say that we have achieved that goal with the unanimous endorsement of Sean McElduff as our Club’s new Chairman.

When I arrived at the Club there were numerous issues and unresolved challenges that needed to be addressed and I am delighted to say that the vast majority of those are no longer factors or hurdles that will affect the Club’s progress moving forward. We have enacted constitutional reform through a new governance platform and we have financially stabilised the business.
