Ando and Boulous have been sacked i believe, both were on about $250k a year each and were still being paid to do nothing since they were suspended back in May.
How did we continue to pay a employee that broke rules and was suspended from their duties?

Because the GO5 have a belief that that it was Seward, Nolan and Irvine that f**ked them over.

Interestingly, Toovey supported that view last night on NRL360. Kent ranted at him but you could see that Toovey held his tongue and did not agree.

I still don't know enough to form an opinion of who did what simply because I refuse to accept Nick Tabakoff as a reputable source of the facts.

He walked out on us and broke his contract. There may be some compensation due but we are not int the wrong here so I believe there is a sold argument about not paying him out.

He is referring to the de-registered 5, in particular Anderson / boulous

Also why the f**k would Foran expect to be paid anything ?? He bloody quit the club. He won't be getting paid anything.

Also Considering he probably hasnt appeared at the club (and met his contract obligations) in the last f/n since quiting and is rumoured to have been on the drink as well over this period, the eels could just sack him if he even asked for a payout. It won't be happening.

I'd say we will be given an ultimatum by the Manager - he doesn't want to play here but he will do all the correct things to keep his job and you can continue to pay him $1.2 million next year and he will take up the 2 year option beyond that in his favour or you can give him a little bit of coin (probably the remainder of this season as payment) and he will disappear.

On the paying other people not at work he was probably referring to the two suspended employees.

Tooves said last night that he thought the Board were pple trying to do the right thing and it was people under them that did all the shenanigans. That's when Kent snapped at him.

And here it is, can't post article but it suggestions Anderson / boulous were sacked yesterday:

New Eels boss terminates $500,000 execs John Boulous and Daniel Anderson

PARRAMATTA administrator Max Donnelly yesterday made his first decisive moves as the club’s custodian, formally cutting off the $500,000-plus a year money tap to two of its disgraced senior executives deregistered by the NRL.

Mr Donnelly told The Daily Telegraph he had formally terminated the employment of CEO John Boulous and football general manager Daniel Anderson, effective as of last night — which means they will receive no further money from the club from today.

“I work on the principle of a fair day’s work for a fair day’s pay,” he said. “The point I’m making is that they were terminated because they couldn’t carry out their contracts. They were being paid, but they weren’t able to do anything.”

The Telegraph revealed last week that, remarkably, the pair had remained on the club’s payroll — receiving leave with full pay — despite the fact they had been unable to perform their roles since effectively being banned by the NRL in May.

Both were on packages of $250,000 a year, plus a company car.

Mr Donnelly said yesterday he had made “arrangements” to confiscate the pair’s company cars, but added: “I can’t tell you I’ve physically got the cars this minute.”

He also said that as of yesterday, he had launched an urgent search for a new head of football to replace Mr Anderson at the Eels and urgently assist coach Brad Arthur, who has held the team together on the football field while the club has collapsed around him.

Replacing Mr Anderson was an urgent priority, given the lack of resources to support Arthur:

“The poor old coach has a job to do,” Mr Donnelly said. “Put it this way: I don’t think we’re wasting too much money on support staff for the coach at the moment.”

So stretched has Arthur been in the face of the Eels crisis that at one point in May he was forced to coach the club’s NSW Cup team, the Wentworthville Magpies.

Given that the board was sacked also and that as employees they were carrying out the boards instructions, it wouldn't surprise me if both go for wrongful dismissal claims.

It also wouldn't surprise me if the Administrator chooses to settle out of court with Hopoate, essentially probably meaning that his payout will be included in the salary cap though.

A bean counter won't be writing cheques out for Hoppa unless his advice is that we're on hiding to nothing.

Not sure how you can say that when we don't have any quality spine players signed up yet (French/Gutherson unproven at fullback).

We would have $2million to spend then and still have our forward pack which is very underrated along with our backline.

Gutherson / French just have to be safe at the back to just provide what Gordon does, any additional play making ability they bring is a bonus.

Sacking DA and Boulous might be all very well but had they finished dealing with the club's salary cap response? Seems to be a decision that was made very quickly by a person who wasn't appointed to fix the club financially.
