This photo is courtesy of Infrasructure NSW.

Thanks for posting FP.
I made another visit this morning and it has come along so much since then. That photo looks about 4 weeks old.

* The southern stand structural steel is almost fully covered in concrete structure now - ie. the pre-cast slabs that accommodate the seating.
* The eastern stand in the picture above now has 3 bays of the same structural steel erected - the same stuff you can see in the photo above at the southern end. It has been erected in the area where you can see the concrete poured in the above photo on the eastern side.
* The western stand (corporate side) is now almost complete at ground/pitch level all the way to the southern end, as opposed to the photo above which only shows it completed to approximately the half way line. There is also a lot of concrete formwork and scaffolding being erected for the first level along the whole western side. Therefore the best viewing point of the reconstruction (on that western side)will soon be blocked. Bugger. Already, just in the past two weeks, the field is now out of sight. With this, the northern end lower works were also now completely obstructed.
* The south west corner will soon be the only really good viewing point, and only if you stand on some treated pine logs outside the building fence. I expect this view also to be lost in the next month or so.

I've said it before, but the speed of the progress is amazing. Well done builders and state govt. I'm very impressed. Good weather has helped, although I know the site was closed down last week on that record hot day. I'm guessing the same thing may have happened today as well, after I left, because last weeks temp record was broken again today.

Can you not get a good view from the top floor of the leagues club?

Probably. I haven't been up there since the last time I got food poisoning up there. True story.
Last year when attending a Wanderers game it happened.
I normally eat in Eat Street before a game but just for a change, I went to the club. Bad move.
I won't be going back there in a hurry. It's the 2nd time that it's happened to me at the club.

Also FP, I went there a few months ago to check out what the view would be like but the top floor restaurant was closed for renovations. So, I can't help you.
Maybe if you can get a few Tingha Palace vouchers at the next club elections you might be able to check it out from the 2nd floor.

I spoke yesterday with a contact at the club and expressed my disappointment on behalf of members that we were not seeing many updates from the club on the stadium build. Without prompting he made mention of the fact that Infrastructure NSW has not been providing the club with much in the way of progress reports, images, video's etc, however they seem to be supplying them to the Wanderers.

He assured me this is being chased up.
He also mentioned that the club's video dude had recently completed a flyover with his own drone from the top of the new PLC carpark and they were hoping to get it online soon.

Thanks mate.
I can't think why there'd be any reason, political or otherwise, to favour one future tenant over another. The only thing I can think of is that the Wanderers are hassling them more because they are really struggling to keep fans onside because they are really dissatisfied with what an appalling experience it is to watch a game at Spotless. The Wanderers have dropped about 4000 memberships this season, due to massive dissatisfaction at playing at Homebush. No doubt they'll get them back when they return to WSS.
Unless they keep losing. Lol.

If you were running a club and your home ground was being upgraded surely you would be working your ring off to provide regular updates?

One would think so Gaz. Yes.
It's a no brainer.
The Wanderers and their fans aren't unique in their dislike of Homebush as a home ground. Eels fans think likewise.
The difference is that it seems the Wanderers are doing more to try and re-engage their fans than the Eels are, which beggars belief. Both clubs have been struggling for good home attendances at Homebush.

Shameful for Parra to be so tepid given our amazing history with the place. Building a new fortress that is the envy of rival clubs starts now.

I think Parra's home attendance increased on average in 2017 compared to 2016. I reckon attendances have more to do with a team's form than what stadium they're playing at. The stadium only becomes a problem when the team is losing. Parra used to get games where they'd barely crack 10k when playing at Parra.

Exactly. I'm not quite sure why they aren't trying to engage with fans already.
The Wanderers get it. But I think it may come down to the fact that the fact the Wanderers fans are being quite vocal about the current situation.

Yes, true that.

Dogs will use it while anz gets redone
Tigers i believe are going to use it regularly, tho i assume they will continue to split games at multiple grounds

Waratahs, Roosters and SFC still need to find temp homes whilst SFS is being redone. Not sure if SCG will be a good fit for all.
