What part of what he said was wrong?

I reckon. Plus I don't have to travel almost four hours to the game, nor do I have to sit in Bruce Stadium where it's always - 15 even on 40 degree days

Plus the beer is cheaper and the food is a shit load better.

Don't get me wrong. I love going to the games when I can, but the comfort of my own heated home is also very enjoyable

Each to their own of course.

Me personally i can't handle not being at live games, although i don't have a problem with the TV (Foxtel) coverage i prefer to see the game in person, i somehow feel like i am letting the team down..........

In saying that, i can easily see why a family in particular (or if you live a ridiculous distance away) would stay home and save their money. I live fairly comfortably and don't eat the stadium food anymore anyways cause like this fatty needs even more food that is way overpriced, so i have no issue with the cost of the season ticket.

I don't know what the solution to the crowd issue is apart from being successful, which is easier said than done of course.

My issue is one of distance and comfort. I’d happily pay a f**kload for awesome season tickets if I didn’t live 1000km away.

I can afford to travel to Sydney every second weekend but don’t want to miss playing golf at my home course and just pefer being at home. That coupled with awesome TV coverage makes it a pretty easy decision for me.

Did you know that the AFL have developed a 7s game and plonked it on a rectangular field ? It’s called AFLX. Copy cats.

Fascinating.

I can sit in my back room with the windows open and watch the footy and, if I open my window, hear the crowd at the game. Though opening the window does involve letting the weather in .

We should fight fire with fire instead of mumbling under our breaths while the bullies steal our lunch.

Or if that is too hard, then we should shut the f**k up and accept that we are second rate.

Can always watch it at home afterwards anyway. Having Fox iq means I can record and keep the wins and delete the losses plus experience the game live. If I miss anything or want to rewatch it isn't hard.

I used to do that exact same thing.
Then we got to the stage when we only won 5-6 games a year.
I gave up then, and now no longer have Foxtel anyway.

Caroline Wilson this morning on Offsiders did not deny that the reason this game was "invented" was to f**k the rectangular sports. The AFL continues to show no mercy.
f**k them.

Yeah - we should develop a form of Rugby League played on a round oval and play it on their ovals down there. That will f**k em up.

I think the problem lies with the Government itself rather than the former GOC.

Unless there was a political imperative he would have been pushing shit up hill to get support (and funding) for his expansion ideas.

If it all goes wrong though due to a lack of Government prioritisation then the GOC becomes a convenient punching bag for Government.

That’s been my experience anyway.
