Well TBH if any stadium could have been renovated it was ours. Stands were already in good position and they could have just duplicated the sides at the ends and plonked a continuous drip zone roof on it.

Um no. Poor viewing at front of stands, lack of corporate facilities, poor access to venue, poor sight lines and poor roof cover. It was a terrible stadium. (Compared to newer venues).

Most, if not all of what you've just listed could have been dealt with via a renovation.

What I was saying in context, was that our stadium was probably the least necessary to be knocked down. SFS is full of concrete cancer and all but 15% of patrons get wet, Stadium Australia was a fan day disaster from day one for rectangular field sports.

Your response seems to be implying thst I said that our stadium was fine as is. I never said that. I just said that if one of three could be easily renovated, it was probably ours because it had good bones and the failings that you highlighted could have been easily addressed.

Totally agree, they could’ve spent 150mil on the old stadium and had it looking great with stands at either end and a full returb of the old western and eatstern stands . But I’ll take the new stadium!

If the stadium is completed but the Apocalypse happens before we get to play in the opening, then I'm gonna be royally pissed.

One of my staff is JW and she reckons that Armageddon is just around the corner.

Not sure if that’s the same as the apocalypse (I would ask her only I usually end up stabbing pens into my ears) but she reckons that Armegeddon is any day now.

I told her that it has already happened and Bruce Willis fixed it, but she didn’t crack a smile for some reason.

Excuse my ignorance, but is the Apocalypse when the zombies take over? Or is it something else. If it’s zombies, then they could use the stadium anyway couldn’t they so not a waste of money.

I'm amused by this statement from the link.

Parramatta Light Rail will reduce the need for people to travel by car around Parramatta CBD and the Greater Parramatta region, and therefore reduce the need for car parking spaces. As a result of changes to road layouts, around 863 parking spaces will be directly impacted by the project. Of these, around 168 will be relocated into adjacent streets.

So, when the stadium opens parking will be at a premium by the sound of it. I haven't seen what stadium parking will be available come game time.

Was thinking ,
Would be nice to have our names on seats :seat:
( stickers, removable or behind a slide) for season members at new stadium.
Parra members top and below the wanderers members.
Only issue would be them being ripped off.
It prob won’t work, but I would like to feel
Special, and appreciated. 7 years member next year.
How long has everyone else been a member?

Well I've been playing State of Decay on my Xbox and if it's taught me anything about zombies it's that they don't care a lot about anything other than eating you. But there's one type called Juggernauts who I think could play for us. Very big, very fat.

The Apocalypse could be from a solar flare, it could come from a pandemic, or from a nuclear war.

It doesn't matter. All that matters is Thunderdome.

I thought the apocalypse was going to come from a cricket scandal ... but it seems to have passed ... unless this is the eye of the apocalypse
