Not sure how tall that is going to be, but looks huge. IIRC World Square is the tallest at 75 floors.

This looks tall due to the one provided picture showing it out in the middle of low rise.
It's planned to be 190 metres (subject to approval). That is only 14 metres taller than the completed Meriton tower in Parra which topped out at 176 metres.

World Square will remain the tallest. The Aspire building at Parramatta Town Square was going to be the tallest apartment building in Sydney but its height was restricted by the Civil Aviation Authority.
Height limits have now been reduced for Parramatta.
The new Aspire, which is now going through re-approval, will now not be an apartment block, but will be a fully commercial development. The proposed height has been reduced to 230 metres, which is still 40 metres higher that the tower I posted the pic of above.
Apparently, pre-approval has allowed Aspire to begin excavation.
The other tower in PSQ is rising above ground level already. This will be 154 metres tall, and is also a commercial building.
For the record, there are at least 5 more towers in Parra planning atm above the 200 metre mark. Some of them are spectacular. All are a mix of commercial, residential and hotels.

We almost need a new infrastructure thread, but I found this interesting, considering Parra is in line for a similar service within 4 years.

Maybe you should change your name to Last Year.

Oh so I should just be happy about it?

I spoke to the club 2 days ago who said that they had not received any seating plans and could not confirm if the western side was fully corporate

There has been a million photos posted here and on the WSS website. There might be some public seating on the western side, but it won't be anywhere near what there was before.
Click on the pic for a closer look of the western corporate side.
Good luck.

Where will you be sitting Suity?

I remember that discussion clearly.
I'm confused about the shadowing in that photo.
The more I look at it, the more I think that was just a developers con job. That pic is looking from the south east corner. There's no way, as you say, there would be shadows like that during any game. Even in winter.
Maybe as you say, at 10.00 am or even earlier, and maybe in summer, but not at NRL playing times. The shadows would be at the northern end.
Anyway, the old Thornett side will be the corporate side. And, as you can see, there won't be much public seating. If any tbh. To be determined.
Don't forget, roof coverage will be far greater than the old shit hole.
Where will I be sitting? Where I always do. Back row, eastern stand. I have very few problems with the sun.

Isnt it pretty much impossible to get that shadow ... the sun rises in the east and tends north in sydney - it would never be from the south east

Huh? ... you guys said it might happen 10am in summer - im saying it isnt possible any time ever

I was being cautious with my reply as I'm unsure whether the stadium will be directly North-South.
If it's a little bit north-west/south-east, it could be possible. But, as I said, certainly not during any game times.

Yeah, though I dont think its possible to be northwest southeat - it wouldnt fit .... the old field ran parallel with oconnel street, northeast southwest. I think it would have to be pretty similar just maybe a bit closer to the road

I think the old stadium was a bit more angled. The southern end was further away from the street than the northern side.

I was just looking on google maps and it was pretty much 100% parallel with oconnell st

I suspect the new one might be a bit more north south

Ok. Maybe NNw-SSE. What's a few degrees between friends?
I haven't checked Google Maps, but you are correct in saying that the new stadium runs parallel with O'Connell street. If that's the case, and as you say, O'Connell street runs a bit to the east of north and a bit to the west of south, then you are correct, there is now way those shadows could be correct, which is why I stated it was a designers con job to make it look like the roof would be providing plenty of shadow. If they'd shown it from the northern end, it would have been more correct.
As it is, I don't really give a rats about the shadows. I will be in the back row anyway, Like always.
I just know that the roof will be giving far more coverage than the old one.
