Posted this in the roll call thread

https://www.nrl.com/news/2019/04/10...ncluded-in-all-nrl-games-at-bankwest-stadium/

In a massive win for NRL fans across Sydney, return travel on public transport services will be included for all games played at Bankwest Stadium this season, commencing with the Parramatta Eels v Wests Tigers blockbuster on Easter Monday 22 April.

Event-goers will be able to catch the train, bus or other public transport services to and from Parramatta using just their event ticket or Club Membership, making public transport an attractive travel option for key events.

Nine Eels home games, four Wests Tigers home games and one Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs home game will include public transport to and from Parramatta.

Does anyone have any intel on the Hotel approval ? It was open to submissions as a State Significant Development which closed 22 Feb 2019. Waiting for the stadium to be opened first maybe ?

Another question; if the Hotel is to be built on the open carpark adjacent to Groundskeeper Willy's house, what is planned for the land north of Eels Place which is also owned by the club ?

This gives a good indication of how the stadium has been finished externally.
Taken April 8th.

Old roof coverage vs new.

I can remember that at around 4pm in the old stadium, sunlight would be still hitting the top half of the eastern stand.

Now with the roofline being virtually on the pitch, I'm guessing that at around 4pm, the shadow from the western roof would almost completely cover the eastern seating.

A spokesperson was on the radio today talking about the community open day on sunday. He said that they were using it as a test day for the first game and would have the vast majority, if not all food vendors and restaurants open for the day. A report on the food there from anybody who's attending would be appreciated.

Some catering pods are open and are giving the construction workers still on site a 20% off discount. You would think 50% or free for those who worked on site for these last 2 weeks
