They conned the NSW govt into not turning Stadium Oz rectangular after the Sydney Olympics, with a paltry bribe of a few million $$$ .

I didn't read it that way. I read it as a message for a) the agitators to back off b) cost blow outs to be blamed on poor planning by the former government and c) a sledge to the former government for outsourcing contracts to overseas based companies.

He has also claimed that the cost has blown out to 25 billion, yet this figure was announced in 2019. 60% over budget? I don't think so, and Chris, you knew this price years ago.

Station boxes at SOP, Burwood North, The Bays are completed (These holes are massive - Could hold the volume of more than 50 Olympic sized swimming pools). Station boxes at Westmead, Parramatta and North Strathfield have been piled/ are being dug. Station caverns at Five Dock and Hunter St are well underway and building demolition at Pyrmont is well underway with shaft work to start Q4 23.

The Rosehill Service Facility site cavern has been dug and being prepared for TBM launch in Q4 23. The Clyde Maintenance/ Stabling Yard site has been cleared including moving the Parramatta Speedway to Eastern Creek.

Roadheaders are in the ground digging the access tunnels from the Clyde Maintenance/ Stabiling Yard to the line under Rosehill (Must be at least 50-100 metres in).

TBM's are in the ground from 'The Bays' station box. ×1 is currently more than 800 metres into its journey, the other is at least at 400 metres.

More than 20,000 tunnel segments have been produced at Eastern Creek.

Substantial utility works/ relocations, geo-tech monitoring, environmental safeguard works completed at all of the above sites.

Just on my thought bubble that Minns is playing politics, I thought that this was very strange by SMH.

They post a follow up article on twitter and turn off comments. They never do that unless they want to pretect someone from trolls or negative comments, why would they for this article?
