maybe you could stop playing forum cop

It would be nice if for once that clown would address the issues I raise, rather than continually taking cheap personal pot shots at me and not ignore the facts I raise and be able to discuss it rationally.
That Union is completely f**ked. Their demands are laughable, which I clearly pointed out, with links.
Also, I post this stuff in this thread because it is relevant to infrastructure and stuff.
It's not my fault that he doesn't like hearing the truth how his beloved unions are trying to take the piss out of NSW taxpayers with 50 cent fares and 32% pay rises and striking or f**king up the rail system for such ridiculous claims.
Let's not also mention the other stupid stuff that I quoted above from that Union. It's dumb shit and embarrassing for them.

Go Unions!!! You're the best!!!

To be honest that post was in The Ram / TL | DR territory. I replied to the part I read before it got too long.

Ok then... it would also be very relevant for discussion in the Politics thread, but each to their own.

As I said in my original reply to your post, "the Minns Labor Government is staring down the union demands, and pushing ahead, just like you want them to be."

I've also posted previously in this thread that - despite apparent fears to the contrary - the Minns Government has not and will likely not buckle to any apparently spurious union demands regarding the Bankstown line shut down and transfer to Metro.

I'm not sure what else you want... other than the chance to take your own pot shots perhaps?

Blaming Ram is bullshit.

Secondly, I don't take personal pot shots and I also don't troll other posters.
I just post information and call shit out when I see it.
It's up to you to reply in kind and occasionally, try not to make sly or smug remarks in return. It is no shock that you have a history of this.
Not sure you could do that judging by the way that you cannot restrain yourself from continually trolling Pou who is the ultimate troll. You continually prove yourself on a daily basis to be no better and I don't get why it is so hard to ignore him. Yet, you cannot.

As for the Minns Govt, it will be interesting to see whether they will stand up to these threats from your beloved union. The union that you love so much and refuse to admit are making absolutely dumb and selfish claims. It's amusing that you haven't addressed this and continue to ignore it in your replies.

No one's blaming Ram... I'm comparing the length of your diatribe post to his long pieces.

Lol. Post #9505 above, eighth word in as one example.

Relevance to your infrastructure thread? None. But you don't take personal pot shots...

They have so far - I've no reason to think they won't continue to do so. And it's not my union - I'm not a train driver.
The union that you love so much and refuse to admit are making absolutely dumb and selfish claims. It's amusing that you haven't addressed this and continue to ignore it in your replies.
I don't love the RTBU. I've said above - as recently as the previous post you are responding to - that the government "has not and will likely not buckle to any apparently spurious union demands regarding the Bankstown line shut down and transfer to Metro". Hardly ignored, as you seem insistent to erroneously claim.

You're clearly on one tonight Suity, and have probably experienced better days and I can cut you some slack... but as above, I'm not sure what you actually want here.

It's pretty pissweak to get personal just because you disagree; it's a sure sign you're losing an argument.

You should be able to hold a sensible debate without the personal attacks.

So just to be clear here... the "personal attack" that you and Suity are both referring to was...

"you could have saved yourself a hell of a lot of typing 😊"

^^^ that one, with a smiley face?
FMD... snowflakes everywhere.

Mate don't worry, you don't need to defend yourself against someone like him. Most of us get what you are doing and appreciate the intel. When people pick sides they can't then see sense or even self interest or preservation and they end up supporting parties, Governments and policies that in the end bring in their own demise.

You do great work. Thank you.

Standoff over Sydney train line shutdown risks costing $100 million a month
Matt O'Sullivan

September 19, 2024 — 12.50pm

The Minns Labor government warns that an escalating industrial dispute with rail workers will cost taxpayers $100 million a month if the standoff delays major work converting a rail line in Sydney’s south to metro train standards.
After late-night negotiations on Wednesday failed to end a deadlock, Transport Minister Jo Haylen was forced to warn sports fans that they face delays travelling by train to events this weekend due to the rail union’s work bans.
“There will be delays, and we won’t be able to provide the same level of service that we had planned,” she said. “It is a disappointing set of circumstances.”

The worst affected will be fans travelling by train to Sydney Olympic Park for the Wallabies’ Bledisloe Cup Test against the All Blacks on Saturday afternoon.

Rail Tram and Bus Union’s opposition to the conversion of a 13-kilometre stretch of the Bankstown line to metro train standards is running in parallel to a claim for a 32 per cent pay rise over four years and a 35-hour work-week.
A 12-month shutdown of the T3 line between Sydenham and Bankstown is due to start in just over a week. However, major construction will be unable to proceed until the union lifts several work bans on the Bankstown line.
After already spending $2.5 billion on the metro conversion, Haylen warned that the government would face extra costs of $100 million a month from being unable to carry out the major construction work if the dispute was not resolved.

“Everything is in place. If there are delays and there is not an agreement reached, the cost will be over $100 million a month in delays. All the contracts have been let,” she said.

Haylen said the two sides had been “very close” to reaching an agreement this week, but there were some demands from the union that the government could not accept, citing the request that a Sydney Trains qualified driver be placed on every metro train.

The government has also ruled out accepting the union’s demands for 50¢ fares for public transport in NSW, warning the cost would be borne by taxpayers.

However, RTBU state secretary Toby Warnes said the union put a deal on the table on Wednesday night which would have prevented industrial action this weekend.
“Unfortunately, and it was late at night, the government walked away from the table, and we weren’t able to reach a deal,” he told ABC radio.

He disputed the minister’s claims that the deal involved demands that drivers be put on fully automated metro trains.
“It was a suite of measures designed to address numerous safety concerns that we have in relation to the conversion of the Sydenham-to-Bankstown line,” he said.
Transport for NSW secretary Josh Murray said the union’s latest bans would have a “significant impact” from this weekend because it had special events that required extra train services, and it had planned works on the Bankstown line’s conversion.
“We’re doing everything possible to reprogram and to augment the services for the weekend to give passengers and families the most options,” he said. “We anticipate the biggest impact at this stage could be on those families wanting to attend the Bledisloe Cup.”

Transport bureaucrats have been negotiating a new enterprise agreement covering rail workers since June, which involves working through 250 claims from the RTBU.
Coalition transport spokeswoman Natalie Ward said commuters were clearly paying the price for Labor’s broken promises to the union movement.
“You can’t put your head under the desk when things get tough,” she said.
