Can't say but yes I personally know one of their employees. They have been negotiating for months.

Great now Avenger will get to big note himself more.

Although I am excited about going to the opening of Pornhub Stadium.

And by excited... I mean excited :p:eek:

Fingers crossed there's a power outage during the opening game.

Honestly if the opening game includes Eels then it wouldn't surprise me. Sponsor's worst nightmare

Another thing I meant to say with this is that the govt's proposed 30 thousand capacity limit on the new stadium is short sighted.
This development alone proposes 6000 new residents.
Further developments in the CBD propose over 20 000 residents.
Further afield, there will be almost a million new inhabitants in western Sydney within 10 years.
There's a lot of potential new fans there for the Eels and Wanderers.
If it is to be believed that there will be about 2500 corporate seats in the new stadium, this means they will only be adding about 6000 to capacity for us plebs.
Not enough in my opinion. Sure, a great short term fix, but long term, a bit short sighted.
If we want the club to stop moving bigger games to Homebush, the club should be pushing hard for a greater capacity. 35000 would be perfect.
We could host EVERY NRL game there with that capacity.

Well f**k ya, you smug prick, The friend just happens to be the Vice President of the Australian headquarters.

#nomoresharinginfo

Settle pettle.
If he's that high up, firstly he should have been right if he was so sure of himself, and secondly, if he wasn't, he shouldn't be sharing that information.
I'm not worried though. The stadium design hasn't even been decided yet. I thought it was a bit dubious when you said it would be announced today, for that very reason.

You're info may very well end up being true. Fantastic if it comes to fruition, depending on who it is I suppose.
TBH, I thought Pirtek were very smart pissing off their sponsorship of us and putting the funds towards the stadium. They have got far better publicity and value for money over 12 months of the year than they ever did with just sponsoring Parra.

Is the capacity still negotiable ?

We don't know that yet.
Both fan groups at the forums held by PWC were adamant and pushed hard for a higher capacity stadium than 30000, but the reps from PWC kept saying that Govt funds supplied for the build (reportedly $300 million) could limit this.
The demands would certainly have been put in the brief notes, as PWC were meant to be the go between, between the clubs/fans vs govt/developer.
The Govt were pretty good actually doing it this way. For example.....and whether you agree with it or not, it took on board the Wanderers request for safe standing for the north end. Whether it happens or not is a mute point, but it would have gone into their report. Eels fans were requesting a walk way from the Leagues Club. That too would also have gone into the report.

We won't really know what the capacity will be until the winning construction bid and design is announced.
It's all in the hands of the govt now.
