Story on 2GB A League Show today that the new Parra Stadium won't be open for 5-6 years.
Mike Baird wants this built before the next election in 2019.
You may very well be right, but I think they'll be doing everything within their legal powers to make sure this stadium is a next election issue.
There's a lot of votes in this stadium, as opposed to not losing many if it in fact, actually get's built.
If they can build the North West Rail Link and the M1/M2 connection, and get a long way ahead with the West Connex, and the New light rail CQ to Randwick, they are doing their job. They'll also have started on the Metro Extension to Bankstown and probably the Parramatta Light Rail.
This govt is progressive for transport infrastructure. As opposed to 40 years of broken promises from wankers from both parties.
Finally, we are catching up with the rest of the world in this regard.
If he gets all this done, and I'm sure he is determined to, and I have confidence he will, I'd vote Liberal for the third time in my life.
BTW, Darling Harbour looks f**king unreal after the upgrades to the Convention and Exhibition Centres.
We just need to piss off the tacky Harbour side Complex and replace it with an equivalent modern structure.
Barangaroo is a showpiece, and will be even better with Packer's Casino - a world class design.
Meanwhile, another massive proposal has been re-submitted to council in Parramatta.
60 metres higher than the current almost finished Altitude.

I cannot believe the rate this city is growing at. It's almost obscene.
My biggest problem is with the current development in the North West.
Obviously, it is where I live. Congestion is already a nightmare due to lack of infrastructure in arterial roads. Proposed and current developments are increasing at a large rate in rural areas that have been just backwaters for decades.
Thousands of acreage land parcels are being developed for sale into high density small sq/m blocks, yet there is nothing being done to upgrade existing arterial single lane high volume access roads.
This area will turn to shit in the next 10 years unless something is done to upgrade existing goat tracks like Annangrove Rd, as opposed to the high density living being planted next to current transport infrastructure in areas like the Parramatta CBD.
You cannot open up 30 000 blocks of land and implant 50000 residents, and expect that these people will be able to get to their place of employment easily without proper transport choices.
The European model of high density close to the city works far better than this shit fight.
That's why I'm so supportive of the current Parramatta high density proposals.
