Stop already. Suity will be pissed off...

Not Suity - me.

Can we keep all the bullshit out of this thread. Seriously it is just annoying. This is a fantastic thread on the progress of our amazing new stadium. It is informative and bloody interesting.

But folks keep coming on here and f**king up the whole thing. Piss it off elsewhere.

Mate, all good.
I've requested this before, but like every other thread on the Eels forum, it gets derailed occasionally.
So be it. I've just learnt to ignore it and just keep posting any info I can find. It's a far cry from when f**k Bart was the chief instigator.
Appreciate your sentiments though.
Now...….back to the Usain Bolt circus. :)

Can't disagree with this. Keep up the good work, Suity. I'll try and be more mindful of my moronic posts in the future.

No probs mate. It doesn't really bother me anymore, but I can really appreciate FP's frustrations.
These are exciting times for our club, despite the on field failures.
Never in my wildest dreams, when the old Parra stadium opened in '86, that I thought in my lifetime that we'd be getting a stadium like this.
This is ground breaking stuff for the NRL. A true and proper European styled rectangular stadium for both RL and Football. It might be being built on the cheap, and I'm sure there will be some criticism's and teething problems when it's finally opened, but the major benefits will far outweigh the negatives.

As I said before, when Bart was trolling every post, this thread was 10 times worse.

Anyway, some drone footage.

I appreciate what you’re doing in this thread Suity. I love all the pics and videos, it is the rare shining light in this miserable season of ours.

I love a joke and I’m certainly guilty of helping things go off track. I do realise that sometimes it goes overboard and that is frustrating. Sorry about that.
Ill keep having a joke occasionally though, if you don’t mind too much. I do feel that you need a bit of a laugh when the Eels are sucking so hard. But I will do my part to keep it reigned in as much as I can.

No probs mate. I love a laugh as well, but I just suppose the point being made was that there are plenty of other threads that can happen in. In fact, all of them get derailed at times. That's why I've just thought "meh", it'll happen here too. Just think it's a shame that the junk can't be kept out of just one thread.

Anyway, here are a few new pics. The western stand is looking good from the outside. Pity most of us plebs will never be around that side. :)

If you double click on the 2nd pic and click again and scroll left, the eastern facilities can be clearly seen under construction.

THE Pride of the League are on the verge of expanding their footprint even further by calling Western Sydney’s newest stadium home.

South Sydney CEO Blake Solly has confirmed he’s in the final stages of reviewing a deal for the Rabbitohs to shift from an out-of-play ANZ Stadium to the $300 million Western Sydney Stadium for the 2020-21 NRL seasons.

“So a fifth of our membership base would be based in western and south-western Sydney.

“When you review the options available, we don’t have many other viable alternatives and by far Western Sydney Stadium is the most attractive.

The Rabbitohs have the support of the Eels to use the stadium, which will be the steepest stadium in Australia.

“Parramatta don’t see us as a threat. The conversation we’ve had with (Eels CEO) Bernie Gurr have been really supportive,’’ Solly said.

Canterbury and the Wests Tigers are also evaluating their home game options for the 2020-21 seasons, which includes shifting games to the new venue.

Gee, I wonder if ANZ stadium won't need to start making some pretty attractive offers to keep sides playing there, I mean obviously all those teams can't play all their home games at WSS, well at least not without some very careful scheduling in the draw, and a f**king miracle worker taking care of the turf to keep the surface half decent.

There might be a bit of a problem selling those corporate boxes if they don't do something about the toilet facilities, I mean two portaloos on a balcony isn't exactly luxurious.

ANZ refurb starts late 2019.

“The NSW Government will now proceed to a final business case to be prepared by Infrastructure NSW with construction expected to start in late 2019 and be completed by mid-2021.”
