The one hooker for 80 min will not work. BA got that wrong when he made the call. He’s not a fan of a hooker on the bench. That’s ok, I’m not a fan of his coaching.

BA is a decent man manager but his tactics are getting tired and are one dimensional.

Notice how all the Canberra boys looked bigger and stronger than our guys. We need to change our philosophy with our juniors. They all looked fitter and stronger than our boys.

Poor little Matt Arthur with his first attempt of tackle showed that although he is talented is not physically ready to play against men. When he came off I thought the ball boy got tackled accidentally.
It was almost shocking how small he appeared when walking off

Yep. Sometimes I wonder what the merkins on here and TCT are watching when they talk up our juniors.
The juniors get talked up as they are very good in that age group, Dylan Brown is an outlier in that space, most need time to get ready.

is it any surprise we paid up for our 1,6,7,8 and 10. Think it’s obvious why the pundits don’t rate us as challenging for the premiership. Just don’t have that one elite back that can turn any game, go through the other teams and they all have at least one. The Panthers are similar to us but run a supreme structure, may suffer losing Crichton though.

I don’t think we’re actually disagreeing. You seem to be having a crack at me for commenting that they’ve been underwhelming. They have been, they were horrendous in that second half particularly.

But we both agree that none of these young fellas can be counted on to get into firsts at this point. What I’m saying following on from this is that discussions about restructuring the squad to accommodate someone like Sanders (which is not a hypothetical strawman, that exact discussion has occurred on this forum during this offseason) are so fanciful to be pointless.

Plenty of these young guys might end up making it as first graders. But it won’t be in 2024.

Mate I don't expect any of them to play first grade this year.

I don't think Asi played well his defence is horrible.

Like I said earlier I was impressed that all our halves had a kick in general play it showed they have alot of work to do.

Melbourne had 1 player do all their general kicking in their trial it didn't give anyone else a chance to practise.

The scoreline in a trial means absolutely nothing to me it's defence and the willingness to backup.
That try Super Simonson Dave's was a perfect example of a player not giving up in a trial.

Attack will come with experience and patience over playing your hand by passing instead of running early on shows impatience.

Some idiots were suggesting letting Moses go and having Sanders play 7 for us. Just because he carved up some age competitions. That's just one recent example. It's ridiculous.

Kelma locked in a top 17 spot
Greig already had one imo

Think Simo gets the first up run over Harper

Russell confirmed his wing spot

only question now is does Hands score a bench spot or are we giving 80 to Lussick
I agree with all of that.

I'd also consider letting go of Sanders early if we can snare an outside back from somewhere. If Penisini goes down, we are f**ked.

I don't think you realise how much I actually like Suity. He's a massive westy but I like him and because he's a bit older than me I occasionally will listen.
Mate I get it, and maybe you weren’t trying to be funny, but I just got a kick out of it. Nothing wrong with a massive Westie mate!!

Surely that is on the CEO and HOF?
