Let roiders get Sanders and go for Savage or another one of their backs...most of their fringe backs are better than ours and even our first grade contenders..food for thought...we definitely need 1 or 2 more quality outside backs....Funnily enough I reckon Loizou is better than all the blokes in front of him. Cini, Dunster, Lumelume etc not good enough

For the record, I've seen over 40 years worth of trial matches like tonight. Nothing that happens during the trial season is ever indicative of what will happen during the regular season.

My earliest ever memory of a pre-season match was a Wills Cup Final at the old Sydney Sports Ground in 1975.
It was a happy memory and I was there. We won.
My dear old now deceased dad took me and some of my brothers.
One of the great early memories of my Eels supporting life.

Well, that was a real trial to watch. Lume and Momo should be nowhere near our NRL team again. I honestly expected better considering how long we had to prepare for 2024. These merkins had their chance to impress IN A TRIAL and I'm not impressed. These backup/depth players are going to be called upon at some stage during the season and I don't have that much confidence in some of them filling the void. They look like they need a decent feed for starters.

They look stale. The tactics looked tired and if anyone ever wants Gutherson out of fullback I’m going back to full aggression. We need a metre eater winger and a centre and we can win it.

I'm over the hype and expectation dribble. These lads should have come out firing, showing everyone that they had a point to prove. They can have all the camps they like but at the end of the day they need to perform and I'm not seeing anything different. As far as BA is concerned, he better perform NOW as a coach. That's basically how I feel.
