I am not a fan of Stuart but maybe with Carney there he may have gone a little better, I know the sharks have won with out him but they have looked as bad as us in other games when carney wasn't playing.

Thats because flanagan has got there attitude right.

Kearney over stuart anyday of the week.

I'm not a big fan of Stuart but that comment is without any foundation. SK has won 8 games in 18 months is edging towards Langmack territory whilst Stuart has a win percentage that Kearney would masturbate over. It's about winning. Nothing else. SK has made us a joke of a club and it hurts. I'll take anyone before SK that is how bad it has become.

It is about winning. Kearney has a problem in getting his message across to the players & they are not playing for him. That is fine but one thing he has not done is bury us with crap contracts. He has tried to implement change but doesnt have the leadership skills to do it.

Stuart has butchered both clubs he has been to. He is a good first year coach but rubbish at building a club to something.

At least kearney has a idea about how to build but know idea how to get his players to buy into his culture change.

Stuart is a toss & talks so much crap. In my eyes hayne has not changed his game the last few years yet after the game against cronulla stuart blubbed on how now he is playing like a fullback as before he was playing like a 5/8. Just utter rubbish.

I would prefer rick stone, nathan brown, steve folks jason taylor over this media darling

Agree on everything you have said, Stuart is an absolute myth.

That's cool Spartan you at entitled to your opinion but Stuart took a team to 3 concecutive grand finals. That is a massive achievement no matter who is in your team. If he had jagged all 3 we would be talking about him like Jack Gibson. Also Stuart getting the Sharks equal minor premiership in 2008 is rated as a great coaching achievement.

There is no doubt he had his critics and rightly so but his record is very good. In addition I believe he has matured as a person, mentor and motivator. His tactics however need further development. Just my opinion.

Thanks, i thought that was the case. Bongo living in QLD prob doesn't care much for the blues so he may have forgot Stuart has a job

Yeah I forgot Stuart's part time gig after leaving the Sharks in a shambles.
I love the Blues always have and always will.
Ricky Stuart won't be our coach. SK will get an assistant or two and my money is on Dean Pay (former Storm under 20's coach) and/or maybe Dymock.

That he did but he did not have his fingers on that team at all. The core of that team was there already & yet he deconstructed that team the roosters had & litteraly destroyed it. It took brian smith how many years later to get it on the right track.

Cronulla same situation. That first year he got there he had those players already. Kimmorley, gallen, bird, douglas, snowden just to name a few. The minute he started signing his own players they were utter rubbish. Again he destroyed the club from within. RATCHY said it earlier. Degois for hughes, kimmorley for barret, Tupou on 400k a year with a option in his favour. The further this guy is from the club the better. I was praying the dogs signed him last year so he could destroy there club as well.

There has to be better options than sticky & i hope our stupid board stop reading the papers cause as we saw it dictated kearney being signed & ando chopped. Phil slothfield should offer a full page apology for the part he also played in having kearney signed to a ridiculous contract

Thank god for the ricky stuart part.

In regards to a assistant coach. What hapens if we sign a jim dymock for example. We start winning. WHO takes the credit. Its either we dump the lot or let him have next year as well. The board cant have a eachway bet.

I can see it now. If kearney starts winning with a assistant they can then take credit for getting him the help he needed. If he fails by himself then the board will say they acted on behalf of the club & its members. A win win for them

I couldn't care less who takes the credit if we win games. They let go of two assistants and I can't see a problem in replacing them. What if our halves start performing now that Joey is helping them out and we win games?
If we start winning games then we should keep all of them.

All valid points guys. In this thread that I created I did not vote for Stuart either I voted for Taylor. I however do not have confidence in this board, they have wasted this season and could have hired someone like Taylor to try and salvage the year. I read earlier today that our friend from the boards, Delboy who has been a season ticket holder since 1982 may now not renew his membership next year. Is this a reflection of what is happening to our club, ? Sadly I think it is. I watch every game on Foxtel but have not seen them live this year. Frankly I couldn't be bothered, they annoy the shit out of me. However I still love them, I am a fanatic, spend too much time on the computer and my iphone searching for a solution and hoping to read about a new coach, signing, anything that can bee seen as a way forward.

For mine the only way forward is to sack this board for their sins and their disgusting treatment of Daniel Anderson and start again from the top down.

I don't agree with you very often as you know, but that's how I feel, except for the bit about Nathan Brown. Please, please, please don't let us go down that path.
I don't see him as any better than any other "rookie" coach.

In reference to avenger re memberships:

I'm aware of people who won't b renewing memberships if Kearney is still here, possibly myself included. Not worth forking out hundreds for a team going backwards that are boring as hell to watch. I'll just watch on tv. IMO memberships will take a big dip next year

I reckon they'll increase.
Gut feeling is we'll have a new coach by then and that will improve the spirit of the majority.

I cannot see this knee jerk reaction of a board hiring someone like Taylor, Folkes or Brown. They are whores to that bastard of a newspaper and will be influenced likewise. Ricky Stuart is the firm favourite.

Yep with a new coach they prob will, I was talking if sk is still here. But I agree it will generate some much needed hope if a new coach comes which should help generate membership sales

That is why we are screwed no matter what. Hence why it is hard to believe in our club if they screw up this next appointment if kearney is gone. Stuart is not the answer

That bowed to pressure in regards to ando. Now there gonna do the same & appoint stuart.

Membership numbers depend on success no matter who is the coach.

Exactly, and I don't think too many members or potential members will see Kearney bringing that success. As suits mentioned a new coach may see memberships increase
