So it seems that Ricky Stuart has rejected us. It worried me when I saw him on the Game Plan (or was it NRL on Fox) and he said that if he did coach a team, he'd want to be successful. I guess that rules us out because of our shit roster and losing culture.

Who's plan B then ? Jason Taylor with Mick Potter as 2IC ?

Stuart should know the only thing wrong with our team is poor coaching. With this roster we should be top four MINIMUM!

nrl on fox tonight said there was a whisper that stuart was headed to canberra and a few of their players have already been put on notice which might explain their sudden improvement vs the storm

and then Paul Kent said that he has not signed and will listen to other offers. Personally I would only take him for a 2 year deal. My first choice would still be Jason Taylor. I am even starting to think Brad Arthur in 2013 with a full tilt on Bellamy for 2014.

Yawn. Keep following my posts Pycho Boy

The fact that you honestly think that a coach change will instantly transform us into premiership contenders is laughable. Although I guess the reason that I do follow your posts is that it allows me to have the odd chuckle. So carry on good sir :D

The dogs did it this year with a new coach. Brian Smith did it in 1997 with us. Instantly!! So what's your point?

Mate a coach that has us nowhere near the wooden spoon two years in a row will do fine

While not entirely incorrect, it isn't entirely correct either. We started 1997 with a win in round 1 and then lost 5 (i think was somewhere around 4-6) on the trot. Then a big run of wins. So 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other...

Both teams had very good rosters already. Do you think Hasler would have gone to the Dogs if they were a basket case?

In 1996 the Canterbury 4 and a stack of other great players arrived at Parra with Hilditch as the coach. We didn't make the finals. Smith then came in 1997 and we got to the finals. Change of coach = Instant success. Last year the Dogs did not make the semis with essentially the same squad Hasler has them as genuine premiership contenders. Change of coach = Instant success.

It can be done. I couldn't give a f**k about the roster. In both scenarios the common denominator was the roster. The variable was the coach. Now stop arguing for the point of arguing. Move on and tell your mate Utey that he has no f**king idea.

A change of coach can bring instant success, anyone who argues different is being stupid.

Brian Smith got us to our first semi appearance in 10 years. Give the man some respect.
