While it was clear the Cowboys are currently a shadow of their former selves, at least the players were still having a go, the same can't be said for a couple of other clubs

His next tenure will be interesting to see, from a distance he was able to win a comp with a club that had Jonathon Thurston at halfback, can he do the same with another club that doesn't have a future immortal in the halves? if he can, he will have proven himself as an elite coach

Bennett’s no fool. I recon he’s thinking I’ve got 3 years coaching left in me. Let’s go for glory at the cowboys . He wouldn’t go to a club that has no chance of playing finals footy and cowboys roster not that bad. That’s why I think green to souths. Who would want to coach warriors or bulldogs, gonna take them 5 years of rebuild

Souths weren't afraid to sack a premiership coach when they went stale.

Paul Green still thinks it is 2015. The game is leaving him behind.

Probably should have gone after 2018, the task of rebuilding the Cows post JT should have gone to a more experienced and proven coach. Ultimately he remained loyal to a fault with the players who helped win the title in 2015. Not sure who they go with now, the club needs a pretty solid rebuild before they are challenging again, and there’s not a plethora of quality coaches available.
