Without wanting to sound too conspiracy theory before the game there was some media about how the eagles had lost their last 17 games with that ref - the first four decisions to me (and the commentators - Daley being one who never usually gives the Sharks any positive comments) totally looked like the ref was going to make sure that he didn't look biased against the eagles. Also - I don't think Peach did lose it this time against the ref - he as captain should be able to question why penalties are awarded inconsistently.

Having said that however - the team needs to work on not letting bad decisions get to them so muc. Swings and roundabouts - sometimes the decisions will go our way, sometimes not - play to the whistle and get on with the game.

To answer your question Military yes i would keep him for 2006 and i would pay him $120 k or upwards ... He's still great ! He's been playing behind some of the worst defence in the comp for 2 bloody yrs .. imagine covering for Goldy and Simmons ? As much as i hate to say it if we had a better option i dont think he would see out this season, let alone us resigning him for 2006, his form has dropped considerably over the last couple of years and some of his 1 on 1 tackles are laughable......between peachey simmons and goldy i wonder how many tries they have let in between them!!!!!!

AFTR, I am not saying this is as a definite reason of mine.
I am struggling to find the reason why Peachey is treateddifferently to other captains, by referees. Then I will try & find why he is treated differently by his own supporters.

The sin binning of Peachy was ridiculous, at no stage did Simple Simpkins warm him he would be off if he persisted, Peachy had walked away Simple had to call him back to bin him.

After watching just watching the game again .. Simpkins performance was worse than i originally thought, it was f#$king woefull, and i am surprised peachy didn't blow up earlier.

I dont think either player deserved a stint in the bin, no more so than any of the 3 offside manly players that tackled sullivan after simmons break. A professional foul in anyones book.

The village idiot basically penalised the sharks out of the game in the first 20mins, then when it looked like they may actually peg manly back, he binned 2 of our players.

Simpkins should have said go or i will bin you, he is the captain, he has every right to question the ref, if the ref feels he is overdoing it a warning should have the desired effect, if not then sure send him to the bin.
