See Peach can still turn a game on a whim so I am not prepared to say he should be dropped from first grade but lets face it referees don't get on with him. And yeah that hasn't always been his fault but rather than leave him as captain and hope the refs change their attitude I thnk the safety first option would be to but someone like Noddy or Jase as captain.

Yes & how many running battles did he have with referees? Got sent off during an origin match for calling a referee a cheat.

As he should have been, I'd send a player as well if he called me a cheat whilst reffing a game, and from memory it was a f$%king cheat that got him sent.

In a team with 15 black guys, they now have a white captain.

And seriously who else would you have for captain in that team? Steve Price is one of the best captains of the generation and to take him over there on the package he is on and not have him as captain would be ludicrous.

You'll ahve to come up with something solid for the inference of racism to have any legs, personally I think it has more to do with attitide and execution.

In fact Ifind it unbelievable that anybody could use those words in the same sentence as David Peachey irrespective of which team he played for.

AFTR, Peache said nothing to Simple Simpkins. Absolutely nothing despite innuendo of swearing etc.
The worst thing he did was confuse simpkins by asking him the difference to which simpkins had no answer then telling him the penalty count was 11-3 & he was cruelling the team.

Did anyone notice Simpkins desperate attempt to first of all give Manly a win under him by caning us in the penalty count and then gave a whole bunch of get square penalties in the last ten minutes so the journos wouldn't roast him the next day? The penalty count finished 12-10 but we must have got the last 7 straight and it was too little too late!

First penalty was deserved. But how much Kennedy held has to be asked. They peeled off slowly penalty fair enough. Peach said nothing.

Second Penalty. Vagana offside. Vagana blew up at Simple & touch judge. Peach said nothing.

He awarded a penalty for strip on Hill. Tackle by goldy came nowhere near the ball. It was clearly just dropped. Bird blew up at Simple & touch judge. Peach said nothing.

After 4th penalty, even Daley all of all people questioned the ridiculous holding when the manly player was above the try line & trying to break free. Quote daley "now I have a real problem with that penalty". Peach was called out & said nothing.

5th penalty. He awarded a penalty when Peach cleaned up after the simmons debacle no catch. peach questioned the play. He asked which way did the ball go? why was it a penalty.

6th Penalty was against Goldy for a head lock. Best face pull by kennedy looking straight at Simple in the eye. peach said nothing to ref only to Goldy.

Didn't even think he was off-side in the first place.

This was infuriating :evil: first who taught Simmonds to let the ball bounce first? Second there was DEFINATELY a Manly knock-on before the accidental offside!

All this anti-Peach rubbish is just that - rubbish. Form is temporary, class is permanent. Week in, week out over the last two seasons he has been personally responsible for ensuring our against points weren't double what they were. Not to mention that his "decline" co-incides with our forwards becoming crap and the team going down the gurgler. Even in 2003 he was the favourite for NSW and should have been picked but the fat old Goose went for some Rooster boy who can't handle a bomb.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree with how we see Peacheys form.

It doesn't mean we hate him if we criticise some aspects of his play.

But I fully agree with Mr. Angry that at the moment there are more important issues with the team. Sorting out the forwards is the real priority at the moment.

Labelling people as racists for criticising Peach is not a goer on these forums.

Those wanting to know fullback options for next year, players off contract end of 2005, as far that i Know

Clinton Schifoske (raiders) but he is also on down hill
Matt Bown (cowboys) has knocked back there first offer, would definately be great buy, if we managed to get him we couldnt keep Peac.
Eric Grothe (eels) this is the player i believe should be a fullback, runs back ball so hard fullback would suit him wide open spaces.

there the fullbacks that i know of at moment.

On captaincy when Noddy not available, i would give Phil Bailey a go at the job, this role might be very good chance for Bails, as has been lot quiter on field this year
