I remember a few years back now, Harry kewell was on the footy show. Referencing a public drunken incident at the time by an NRL player, they asked him; 'how do the EPL players stay out of trouble'?
His response; 'Rarely go out to public places, they are more inclined to have private house parties.'

Now this was some years back, certainly before instagram etc. People may now be asked to hand their phones in when attending private house parties with NRL players. I'm sure some celebrities are already doing this.

So would this be acceptable behaviour in your house?

If it did occur without your consent would you remain silent about it or would you find it too irresistible to tell someone?

Would you consider doing it in someone else's house?

Time for people to stop making apologies for these idiots let them be dealt with.

No OT it wouldn't be acceptable at my house and No I wouldn't consider doing it at someone else's...but if it was a someone you knew or a member of your family knew would you run to the media with it....these blokes are basically paid by the public in one way or the other and if it was done in public yes I would agree they need to be dealt with... it was a stupid dumb thing to do BUT I think in this instance the media have over stepped their mark....does this mean now that every sports person or public identity whether they are right or wrong can be put on film behind closed doors and it presented to the public.....look Im old school and some of the things I got up to and probably yourself would not have gone down to well with some, but in this case I cant agree with the way its been handled....

NRL players are on a pretty good wicket. Paid shitloads to hang out at the gym, train and then play footy once a week. Like it or not the trade off is that they act like decent human beings. 99% of players do this, or are at least discrete when acting up.
I may be in the minority here, but I've never been so drunk that I pretended to root a dog after pissing on someone's lounge.

Firstlly how do we know that 99% dont do these sort of things behind closed doors or they do but are discreet about it which makes it ok......and you see like others you have jumped to the conclusion that it was Pearce that peed on the lounge.....there were others in the room so how do you know she was accusing him........and like you hopefully Ive never been that drunk that I can remember doing such things......but who knows really what weve said or done when we are completely wasted..

That's what I said, stupid. They can do as they please if they're careful. Just remember the clubs and the fans that pay their wages.

And if anybody pissed on the lounge, my money's on Mitch.

If he was a young unknown player then the club would take drastic action. As he is the Captain and a marquee player, then the Roosters will simply state that Peace was simply getting behind the push for a new club mascot....."a cocker spaniel"

Yeah...Drew Hutchison - the 2015 NSW U20's captain.
Does that help with your assessment?
Glad you saw my point. Not been a complete waste of a day for you.

Let me spell it out for you: Nikorima is a better talent.

And that's why I'm called objective view.

Credit to Doust. We were apparently in the hunt for Pearce a few years ago and didn't land him. Well left. Average player and woeful human being.

If you read my previous comments stupid you would have seen that I already stated that its peoples money (fans etc) that pay their wages.....and you say they can do as they please if their careful now thats stupid as well...you also lead people on here to believe it was Pearce that peed on the lounge now youve changed your comment to your moneys on Mitch..... now thats stupid as well

Nothing he did is a hangable offence. But the same could be said of Carney and Monaghan. Just stupid, disgusting behaviour that unfortunately made it into the papers.

If it was 10 years ago he may have gotten away with a slap on the wrist but it's a new world now where the PC brigade rule. A world where someone like Chris Gayle gets fined 10k for asking a girl out (something men have been doing for 1000 years) and possibly gets banned for life from playing in the BBL.

The simulated dog business is actually the least of his worries. What the PC brigade will jump on is his unwanted advances to the girl where he actually put his hands on her. Then he refuses to leave her home when asked.

If Gayle copped his punishment, what Pearce did was infinitely worse. Nothing short of a sacking or a 12 month suspension would suffice if they are consistent. If I was Carney or Monaghan and Pearce manages to stay in the game, I'd be pretty dirty, given Pearce already has a pretty bad rap sheet.

Can you outline what this is based on? They have almost identical resumes to date, Nikorima has a bit more versatility across the backline but Hutch has more size and better defence, which will help make the transition to first grade more smooth. Both possess great kicking games and weapon passing games, both good ball runners, albeit in very different ways. Hutch has a year on him but was also the preferred choice in the Junior Kangaroos as 5/8 (Hutch was also preferred over Hastings, who was played from fullback. Nikorima played off the bench) and thoroughly outplayed Jayden in SOO. I can't imagine that you've managed to fit a comprehensive look into 2 separate junior RL players into your busy schedule as a corporate lawyer...

So what are you basing that assessment on? Other than an opportunity to bag out the club you supposedly support? Genuine question BTW...

More importantly - our starting halves will be playing this season (unlike the Roosters) so it's an irrelevant discussion.

How anyone can see the Roosters in a more positive light than us after the Pearce incident is beyond me.

Impressive trolling. Even on a thread about another teams players indiscretions, you can somehow manage to turn it into a failure of our management because the Roosters recruited a highly touted junior who by the way, is untested in 1st grade, that you consider to be better than one of locally produced juniors. And your opinion of Nikorima and Hutchisons talent is based on what exactly?

And that's why you should be called Subjective View.

The Roosters are in a world of hurt and could get worse in coming weeks. If the NRL is true to form, Pearce should be punted from the NRL ala Carney and Monaghan, which will leave them with Hastings and likely Nikorima as a completely untested halves combination. To add to that, SKD has his court hearing in a couple of weeks with the alleged domestic violence against him and if convicted could spend time on the sideline if not out of the game.
