Can you outline what this is based on? They have almost identical resumes to date, Nikorima has a bit more versatility across the backline but Hutch has more size and better defence, which will help make the transition to first grade more smooth. Both possess great kicking games and weapon passing games, both good ball runners, albeit in very different ways. Hutch has a year on him but was also the preferred choice in the Junior Kangaroos as 5/8 (Hutch was also preferred over Hastings, who was played from fullback. Nikorima played off the bench) and thoroughly outplayed Jayden in SOO. I can't imagine that you've managed to fit a comprehensive look into 2 separate junior RL players into your busy schedule as a corporate lawyer...

So what are you basing that assessment on? Other than an opportunity to bag out the club you supposedly support? Genuine question BTW...

You don't know?
Was signed by someone other than Saints, simple.
Liarnel Hutz really hates our club.

The Roosters are in a world of hurt and could get worse in coming weeks. If the NRL is true to form, Pearce should be punted from the NRL ala Carney and Monaghan, which will leave them with Hastings and likely Nikorima as a completely untested halves combination. To add to that, SKD has his court hearing in a couple of weeks with the alleged domestic violence against him and if convicted could spend time on the sideline if not out of the game.

and to add to their woes Jennings and Maloney are all ready gone..tough times ahead for them...but still think they will be there abouts

Yes, hard to write them off for the 8 after 3 minor premierships but I don't think they could be considered serious title contenders. They have an excellent pack that hasn't really been affected by this but they look thin in the backs and will have to rely on a lot of younger players to get them through the season.

Nothing he did is a hangable offence. But the same could be said of Carney and Monaghan. Just stupid, disgusting behaviour that unfortunately made it into the papers.

If it was 10 years ago he may have gotten away with a slap on the wrist but it's a new world now where the PC brigade rule. A world where someone like Chris Gayle gets fined 10k for asking a girl out (something men have been doing for 1000 years) and possibly gets banned for life from playing in the BBL.

The simulated dog business is actually the least of his worries. What the PC brigade will jump on is his unwanted advances to the girl where he actually put his hands on her. Then he refuses to leave her home when asked.

If Gayle copped his punishment, what Pearce did was infinitely worse. Nothing short of a sacking or a 12 month suspension would suffice if they are consistent. If I was Carney or Monaghan and Pearce manages to stay in the game, I'd be pretty dirty, given Pearce already has a pretty bad rap sheet.

Worried about those "PC brigade" comments. Anyone with any morals, not just the PC brigade should be concerned about the "unwanted advances to the girl". If its not sexual assault, its most certainly sexual harassment. That was way worse than the dog thing.

The point I was trying to make is that we live in a different world now, where any inappropriate actions against females is magnified 10 fold.

I used the Gayle example, where all he did was ask a female out for a drink and he copped a pasting. 10k fine and permanent ban from the the BBL. A massive overreaction IMO, and this is where the so called PC brigade have made a massive impact.

Don't condone Pearce's actions at all and any harassment of females should never be on. And I'm far from being PC.

But you can bet rightly or wrongly, he'll have to pay a bigger price today than say he would have 10 years ago.

Cheers mate.

I may be new here but I'm not new to forums. I know how they work and I know we won't all agree and there will always be trolls and overzealous moderators and moderators that do nothing. Calling you stupid (for which I apologise unreservedy) is nothing compared to the other crap that goes on here.
As far as LU goes I've seen plenty worse. This is tame.

Peace.

Pearce is a serial offender who has little or no regard for himself, his parents or other people.

For all those who brand the people who did the video "scum" then please ignore all of it and send your daughters, sisters, nieces phone numbers to Mitch and invite him around for a session on the grog

Even though he was at a party he was in the public domain and is therefore subject to the imposition of the modern technology after all he posted earlier in the day with his photo (with the young and impressionable) not sure everyone consented for him to do that

Thank god we have modern technology because it has been instrumental in so many perpetrators being caught

Plenty have gone before Pearce and no doubt plenty will go after him because some people are just plain dumb no matter how good they are at sport.

Filming and selling something is a bit of a low act when it's just designed to cause outrage and no obvious actual harm has been done. That said, it in no way diminishes the actions being filmed.
It's a two edged sword isn't it? Without the footage we don't see just how much of an imbecile the bloke really is for ourselves, We hear the stories, but can only imagine.
More pressingly, Pearce should be done for serial dumbness. It's no secret there are people out there willing to film, sell, buy and expose this stuff. It's not like he hasn't been caught out before by damning footage.

What gets me at times is the press or some people in general when they talk of Dugan they say the bad boy or former bad boy.Hell he has nothing on Pearce & when he is mentioned in the press it's never with his past mentioned.

Too true.
Makes the 'knobs' team list when one gets started in the main LU forum.
Honestly, a Saint (in more ways than one;-)) when compared with most other offenders.

Absolutely. And why is there a market for this kind of thing? I heard both ACA and the Tele paid upwards of $40,000 each for the footage. Easy money for a guy with a phone.

And the reason they paid the cash is that they knew it would be front page news with everyone expressing outrage. A drunk footballer acting like an imbecile. Really - that's worthy of the front page?

Again in no way do I condone harassment of females (and canines for that matter) and what he did was totally out of line, and I for one hope he cops it.

But sometimes we need to get our priorities straight.

True what you say Bottle, it's a two way sword and Pearce doesn't have the right friends with the filming and selling stuff but we do get to see him in his environment I guess.....

Let me spell it out for you: Nikorima is a better talent.

And that's why I'm called objective view.

Straight Shooter

I want to ask you if the things you say on here do you really believe in it and I'm not talking about Nikorama vs Hutchison but all the other stuff you often say and things like you have the best Objective views- do you say that with a straight face or tongue in cheek, just wondering.:?

and I heard you are a high end lawyer now too....

Disagree. Pearce is the only one who needs to get his priorities straight. He can either he hit the piss and act like a dickhead without consequence, or he can be an NRL player. Can't do both.

I have no issue with the film existing and being aired to the public. What appears on the footage is entirely on Pearce. I also don't think any 'blame' should go the way of the filmer, that's the world. Though I do wonder a bit about the ethical make-up of someone filming this in order to sell it. That's a bit of a conflicted outlook, but that's how it is.
I don't think I'd film it, but then I'd be $60K less well off.
