I would like to say as a mad fan that attended that miserable game in the rain......from start to finish.

I am proud of my Rooster and our fans....we have weathered lots of storms together including that one yesterday.

So what we lost!!!!! our Team were never arrogant.....we didnt call ourselves favourties everyone else did.

Winning 1 Grand Final is hard enough trying to win 2 in a row would be almost impossible.

Not all Rooster fans are horrible supporters...lay off and give the good guys a break....we are all upset by our loss......I suppose at least we were in a position to be the Premiers again...unlike some.

Now Congratulations to the Panthers....they played well.

I thought the Roosters Forwards were outstanding and I believe the game was lost with our backs.....so what!!! Crocker and Mozza were outstanding.

Next year all the pressure will be on the Panthers......so all I have left to say is Congratulations to the Premiers.....Good Luck Next year.

Oh and if people think the Roosters and or the Supporters are arrogant....wait till you hear the Panthers ;-) ;-)

ROOSTERS STAND TALL BOYS YOU STILL DID US PROUD!!!!!!!!!!

Is this a first hand experience - they have something to be proud of - but lets not confuse arrogance with pride..

A lot of people confused our pride with arrogance. As youa re aware most of the posters in this forum are fair - and have been all year..I don't venture afar these days as thhis forum is becoming busier with closures .

Oh Hell i forgot you live inn Penrith...keep wearing your jumper..

Unfortunately for the Roosters, you're a rarity Ozzie. I know a few Roosters fans, and they're all arrogant about their football team. They are the new Manly in that regard, but it is because they are so damn good and they make no attempt to hide their belief in that fact.

While I can see you're genuine about your team (you're one Roosters fan I can show sympathy for), most other Roosters fans I know have been talking it up throughout the week and indeed the year. Their irreverence, and overall supercilious attitude to other people's opinions about a Panthers victory or indeed any other team upseting them, was frustrating for many and has fuelled a hatred of Roosters.

I'm now hearing and seeing many incredulous supporters last night and this morning who could see no possibility of losing last night. Their pro-Roosters rhetoric being expectorated in our direction over the course of the week and season is now meaningless given they failed in the final game.

The Roosters, like Manly prior to 1997's GF defeat, have become anathema to many rugby league fans, and that is the reality of being a side that is too darn good. There are many reasons for why they're so good, but you've heard them all before so I'll refrain from being too sinister in my assessment of their side. :-#

I'm aware that some people dislike Newcastle - for various reasons. I can live with that, and the Roosters (until their eventual downfall) will have to put up with that, the fans included.

ummm - did your teams make the g/f??

No so kinda like the Kettle calling the pot black..

Ozzie I'm not trying to start and argument but comments like this do nothing for the image of your club. I don't know about anyone else but I'd rather my team take the wooden spoon than make a Grand Final only to lose it. I'm very proud of the fact that the Broncos have won all 5 of the Grand Finals they have contested in.
IMO 2nd is as good as last, 1st is all that matters. While some fans of the lower teams would be over the moon if their sides had achieved what he Broncos have in the last 3 years, I have taken no joy in two final 4 finishes and a top 8 finish this year.
