I reckon we need to give Tago a couple of games back in NSW Cup to get his mojo back. His defence has been getting consistently worse all season, and excluding the first 20min last week, he's pretty much been invisible in attack recently too.

Bring in Rennings or Salmon for a couple of weeks, bring Tago back for the Eels game with a new fire in the belly, and less video for Eels and Storm to exploit.

Overall it was a weird kinda game tonight. Got the feeling that we were a bit complacent in the first half, and were lucky to go into the break ahead.

Really took our chances during the sinbin period. Thought our power game through the middle was really good.

Deadset its a weak comp at the moment though. We haven't looked great in attack since Rnd 1 and we're still averaging 30 points a game.

NSW Cup are cruising in games even more than NRL. He learns more in the top grade

We are cruising to get mentally fresh.

Yeah the comp is 12 months away from being good. Covid hang over

Yep not happy.

Tago copped a hiding of one of the best attacking centres in the game (when in form)...

Tbh im happy we won.. tago and may will take a lot from that but realise that its not all roses in the nrl.

Overall we did what we had to.

Pretty avg performance but put on 40 so cant conplain to much i guess.

Up the pennies

Tago will have those days.
Most people expected it as he is learning

But we are flogging everyone. So is time to work on it

6-all probably would have been a fair indication but the Broncos left such a huge hole for Soro to run through they deserved to be scored on.

Not to worried about tagos defence tbh, it’s such a tough position even good defensive centres get it wrong sometimes, it’s his 11th or 12th game you just gotta back him to keep getting better. I thought on that first try Tago should’ve made the tackle in the first place but he did get to staggs and slow him just a bit if young may jammed in then he could’ve shut it down but overall it’s just experience. Tago has had plenty of very good defensive plays so he’s not clueless you just remember the misses and bad reads that lead to tries a lot more. Besides that it was only a couple of great kicks from Reynolds that threatened us and sometimes you just can’t stop those ones. A lot of teams are playing their best footy against us to start sometimes we just gotta weather the storm and back our class to get over them which we have been doing well this year. Cleary getting back to his best helps he’s probably got a bit to go still but he was definitely looking good tonight.

On tago. Absolutley not.

Hes nrl standard. Hes carved up most weeks..hes attacking skills for half a dozen fg games is ridiculous..

Hes soo far ahead of where critta was.after the same period.

Id say hes further ahead than m jennings was..

Jennings defence was rubbish when he first came into grade. People are quick to forget..

Tago has been a shining light.. he got showed up two or three times tonight but he will learn hugely from that.

He was still strong in attack..

Give the kid a break. I knew hed cop a hard time from staggs tonight. Staggs is one of the best attackers in the gane when hes in the mood..

Theres enough signs from tago may to know theyre our future. Both are well up to nrl.et the kids play and learn..

Theyll make mistakes but the excitement and tries from them two who have a combined total of less than 10 games is beyond crazy... what they are putting out in terms of talent is just nuts..

Just let them play. Have to take a few mistakes with rookies..

I look at as its just good for their development

In 2020 waqa blake gave critta a bath in a game against Parra, that was his first full year of grade, between then and now he’s developed his defence quite a lot to a point he’s a very good defensive centre now, again it’s just such a tough position to defend so many decisions to make in a game you just need to get the experience in.

Good experience for May and Tago. Cleary and Luai need to be more patient on the try line, throwing a cut out on the last to a marked centre or a crash play for Crichton are not the right plays. Oh and the f**king loop ball to Staines that got intercepted, that was the worst one. They're not building try line pressure as well as they used to.

He did nothing but defend himself. It's an absurd rule
He struck a guy in the face.

The absurdity comes in the interpretation. If Dyl doesn’t retaliate it doesn’t escalate and the Bronco stays on the field. Unless Dyl falls to the ground clutching his face, and then the broader LU forum blows up that Dyl is a diver.

He got hit in the face, what the f**k should a man do?

The left edge looks worse defensively because the rest of the side is an absolute rock. It's the only part of the field that's even remotely vulnerable, so teams will naturally target it. Tonight was a mixed bag for them. Some good reads amongst some bad misses, but Staggs is the kind of guy that can do that to anyone so it's hard to be too critical. You'd want them to improve as the season progresses though.

If Martin was so poor Munky why was his super coach score 93 ?

In my opinion he has stagnated and even regressed. He used to be a dangerous runner and be an aerial threat.

He's become one dimensional and charges out of the line for the big hit and only creates a gust near the ball runner.

Maybe my expectations are misplaced.

Just on the Edwards sin bin, the only "correct" play for Edwards after being hit like that is to roll around on the ground like he's f**king Neymar. I don't want to see that Soccer style garbage in the NRL but intepretations like that will make acting like a bitch the only option for players in such scenarios.
