Anyone else get Dragons 09/10 vibes from this team.

Hopefully we don't shit the bed halfway through 2022.

Actually I don't give a shit if we do.
Your coach would need to announce he's gone halfway through the season.

Only after saddling the club with shit long term contracts and no clear path for upcoming juniors.

PENRITH just need to do what the roosters do, once a player starts listening to their manager telling them they're worth overs - just say goodbye and sign then next best thing.

Well done Penrith. Fully deserved winning, what Gus Gould must admit is, a weak comp.
Nah, that's rubbish. No asterisk here. The bottom 14 or so teams might be weak but Penrith beat three very good sides three weeks in a row to win the comp. Apparently 'Vlandys ball' makes it easy to score points, yet Penrith conceded 4 tries in three sudden-death games in the most intense of games. Everyone had Melbourne locked in 2 weeks out, yet Penrith are the fully deserved, without any * champions.

I just remember Gus Gould decried the sharks premiership as a weak comp much to my surprise, so this would definitely be one in his eyes

Penrith are a great club.

First game of Rugby League I ever watched was the 1991 Grand Final, so I thought they were dominant from the get-go. Was surprised to then learn that they were battlers and that, to me, is more endearing.

Loved 2003, but they kind of rose and then fell so quick.

There's just something special about them right now. It's fitting that they won last night. I know that To'o, Luai and Crichton are polarising, but I love them. I love seeing a club with such a strong connection to their community and so many juniors winning. Obviously, as a Warriors fan, I am happy for Ivan. So yeah, if my club can't win, happy for Penrith to win.

Great post.

Hats off to Nathan Cleary.

Has given the NSW Origin side leadership and direction and turned it into a winning one after the long losing Pearce era.

Leads Penrith to a competition win. Premiers!!!

Wins the Clive Churchill - carrying a bung shoulder.

f**king legend!

All at the age of 23.

I agree they deserved it but as an aside Vlandysball largely disappeared in the finals. 6 agains mostly got shelved and the ruck/10m were a mess.
