Penrith's draw this year...

This entire thread is laughable. Would an easy draw get Canberra to first place? The simple fact is, if you are not good enough to beat your opponents consistently, you don't deserve to be at the top of the table. And the criticism of Penrith for not having origin players? LOL. So other teams are without origin stars for a few weeks. Penrith are without origin stars for the whole season.

Penrith may not win the competition this season. They may not even win another game. But they deserve to be right where they are, right now.

Nobody is stopping other coaches from stocking up on NZ internationals.

So our players are shit and shouldn't play origin but we're lucky our shit players aren't playing origin? Got it.

We lose, so be it. We aren't wasting time deflecting on other teams.

But some morons will look like right merkins if they lose.

Penrith fans don't think we're going to win the comp, rather the remaining games are a welcome test. But whatever.

Turn it up.

I can't believe this geniused thread was even started, let alone still going. Unsurprisingly it was started by a mong like tommy smith. Panthers are a good side and look top 4 bound. Well coached, good forwards and with a confident Soward pulling the strings. Definite contender.

The butthurt continues.

You're not even a Penny fan and yet you're still having a cry, Hutty.

What a whiney, catty markin you are. That time of the month again?

Either way, stop stalking me.

You wanted a discussion. It seems anyone who disagrees with you must be Butthurt. OK. What are your thoughts on the Roosters playing the high flying Panthers four and a half days after they play Brisbane? The Roosters meanwhile are on a 2 week holiday. Fair draw ?

I think Tommy is the "Butthurt" bloke around hear. Obviously you have F*** all to do bar bagging another team... The comp hasn't been this close in years. The "Favourable" games are not always certain wins as seen last Saturday...

And the other laughable observation is that nobody was having an issue in regards to the draw when we where climbing the ladder.

Week by week, this is where the Panthers stood:

Rnd 1:1st (yay 1st!)

Rnd 2: 6th

Rnd 3: 4th

Rnd 4: 8th

Rnd 5: 4th

Rnd 6: 10th ( 10th,wow the draw must be working for us!)

Rnd 7: 7th

Rnd 8: 8th

Rnd 9: 6th (things improving)

Rnd 10: 3rd

Rnd 11: 3rd (1st bye)

Rnd 12: 2nd

Rnd 13: 1st (yay...it only took 3 months)

Rnd 14: 1st

Rnd 15: 2nd ( 2nd bye)

Rnd 16: 2nd (oooooh-noooo!)

Rnd 17: 1st.

So when it's all set out like this,I can only confirm that out of a total of 17 rounds,we have had 1st place on 4 occasions.

And one of them was in the first round, and it took 12 weeks to work our backsides off to get it back...3 months! And on that day,Tommy Smith saw green and decided to have a cry and started this thread during Round 13.

Sadly he didn't have a close look at every game that we played.Or if he did,he sure missed out on a lot of games other teams were playing...and not winning.

There is nothing so as bitter as a man who envies another mans success.

EDIT:And Tommy,if you are reading this,in round 6,when we where 10th.Where was your rant about the draw favouring us then?

Congratulations, OP, you have finally reeled in some Panthers fans and driven them crazy enough to take this nonsense seriously.

The abuse in this thread is hilarious.

I feel like a martyr.

Fighting the good fight.

I have never bagged Penrith out. I actually don't mind your mob. Gus, whom I have more respect for than anyone in the game of Rugby League along with Trent Robinson, has worked wonders for you guys. And in two years time you'll be a major Premiership force.

But, as of this year, I think you're pretenders riding high on the back of a soft draw and a cruisy Origin period.

And this appears to have riled up a lot of vitriolic, poorly educated bogans from out West (and the odd Dragqueens fan)

But that's cool. To you all, I say good day Sirs. No hard feelings.

One thing is for certain, this thread will get the mother of all bumps should you beat us in a weeks time.

Lol. f**k off. There is no such thing as an easy draw in the NRL. Especially not this year. Worry about your own team doing a shit job of defending their Premiership.

Now someone telling me to "f**k off"!

I'm gonna end up writing my very own "I'm writing this trying not to cry..." msg soon. Please stop being so mean.

Horrific personal abuse aside and back on topic... perhaps there's no such thing as an easy draw, but there is such a thing as an easier draw. Penrith have had that. Why is that so hard to accept?

You cry about abuse, yet you say "vitriolic, poorly educated bogans from out West". You just lost your own argument there. I'm sure there's lots of us "Westies" on here who are better educated than a hypocrite like you.

I've had to restrain myself as well. I know it's hard to occupy a young mind when your team has the bye, but internet trolling will usually get you into trouble.

I've got a suggestion. Have a look back to Round 10 or so at the games of the team you support (go back to the Canterbury match before Origin 1), and work out how many of them were fair and square tough match ups, rather than bottom of the table sides, sides depleted by Origin or with players backing up, or sides on short turnarounds. I think you will find the Roosters have had 1 hard match against a strong, full strength team, in the last 7, against Manly which they lost.

Yet the Roosters are not leading the comp, as you'd expect. They are struggling to keep in touch with the top 4.

We have the same 'soft draw' that Roosters have. 21 games the same and only 3 different. The draw is closer at this point of the competition then it possibly ever has been.

But you can't handle that the Roosters are a shadow of the side they were last year and are trying to make excuses for them being below a shit team like the Panthers.

Don't worry though, our favourable draw gives us an entire 4.5 day turnaround to play the Roosters coming off a bye. That's basically another gifted 2 points. Right?

It's not just the "draw". It's the fact that you've faced the Eels minus Hayne, the Tigers minus Woods/Farah/Tedesco, the Dragons minus Merrin/Morris/Dugan.

You've had it very easy so far.

But again, this thread will be fun to revisit in October.

Either I'll look very silly or be vindicated as a visionary genius.

Eels without one player? We were missing Idris and lost Whare 10 minutes in.

Dragons without their winger, Centre and lock. We were missing the same players.

Tigers without Woods and Farah? We lost our halfback 15 minutes in and finished off the game with a 1 man bench.

Roosters had the Bulldogs without both halves, Josh Morris and Tony Williams. They face weakened sides same as every other team does. Panthers might not have lost players to Origin. But that doesn't change the fact that we have had weakened sides as well. Only had one player in our team start and finish every game this season.
