Penrith's draw this year...

you keep trying to insult Brisbane fans, any real Brisbane fan knows how shit their team is (including myself and I have said it more than once). Nothing you say can make me feel worse about my club's current situation and I could dish you out many of excuses but I won't because I know what a classy individual I am, however Penrith fans on the other hand can't accept that their draw this season basically handed them a position in the finals on a platter. You've beaten some or the worst teams this year (twice) and you've had to play some of the better teams this year only once.

Penrith supporters claim the high ground on that, they think they're in the finals because they have a superhuman roster with a superhuman coach, this Penrith side is that good that they didn't even lose a single player during origin. There you go, that's how good they are.

If you want to compare Penrith to Brisbane, we can do that. Sure, no problem. Phil Gould went out and spent time at the Broncos because he wants to mimic the professionalism at the Broncos, how's that for a comparison? your club aspires to be what Brisbane is and has been for the last 25 years, at the moment we aren't getting the results on the field but that's only just around the corner.

I read some halfwit saying "I will be happy if we make it the top 4, whatever else happens is a bonus", oh so you're willing to watch your team get pummelled into submission in consecutive weeks just because you got it handed to you via the NRL. I'd be happy with that too, well played Phil.

As the old saying goes- winners can grin, losers can please themselves.

Hehe this thread
Started and bumped by butthurt insecure Rooster fans who predicted we wouldn't win another game after we played them.
Then came the Tigers fans when they thought their team had a chance.
Now we have Bronco morons embarrassing themselves.
Who's next?

Jabba's influence might be close to that of Greenberg when it comes to dishing out the draw but adversity through injuries is still adversity and has to be overcome. Cleary is also unexpectedly transforming the unwanted and budding, Penrith deserve to be where they are

Yeah lets look at what Brisbane has done over the past 25 years. Single handedly destroyed the Qld Cup competition. They were the major reason clubs like Valleys, Wests, Souths and Logan no longer exist. Decimated the local rugby league scene in SE Qld with nearly all media coverage for local teams disappearing. Oh and they were one of the primary reasons that the Super League War kicked off.

Broncos fans are probably the most ignorant in the league thinking they built success. It was purchased. There is no doubt that it is a well run club, there are some smart execs in charge. They form a club in a rugby league heartland, which also happens to be the largest growth area in Australia when there was absolutely no competition from rival codes and were basically gifted a 60,000 capacity stadium to play at.

Yep definitely would have been a tough gig getting a successful and multiple premiership team going up there.

I am confident Penrith will win another premiership before Brisbane.

No... Broncos fans keep insulting the Panthers. We're just taking stabs back at the Broncos considering they're sticking the boot into a team that is well and truly above them on the ladder AND beat them when we faced them.

however Penrith fans on the other hand can't accept that their draw this season basically handed them a position in the finals on a platter. You've beaten some or the worst teams this year (twice) and you've had to play some of the better teams this year only once.
We play 90% of the same games as the Broncos and Roosters. We are one of the better teams, so the teams we only play once also benefit from that. ;-)

There's a few shit teams we only played once aswell. Broncos, Cowboys and Tigers (since we only beat shit teams, they must be shit). While other clubs get to play those sides twice instead. The draw evens itself out for the most part.

Penrith supporters claim the high ground on that, they think they're in the finals because they have a superhuman roster with a superhuman coach, this Penrith side is that good that they didn't even lose a single player during origin. There you go, that's how good they are.
Show me one post that says that? That sounds like the shit Broncos fans, Haynetrain, Bunnniesman etc. post. I haven't seen a single Panthers fans post anything even remotely close to that. Feel free to prove me wrong, I would love to have a laugh at a fan that delusional aswell.

Phil Gould wants to build our brand up like the Broncos brand has been built. He doesn't want our team on the field to follow the Broncos on the field, as you can see by the fact we AREN'T cheating the salary cap and we ARE winning games.

I read some halfwit saying "I will be happy if we make it the top 4, whatever else happens is a bonus", oh so you're willing to watch your team get pummelled into submission in consecutive weeks just because you got it handed to you via the NRL. I'd be happy with that too, well played Phil.
We're happy with simply making the finals because our roster at the moment is severely depleted with players who aren't due back until next season.

We're simply being realistic. Take the equivalent players out of any roster and show me one that looks to be anything more then making up the numbers in the finals. Here's the players who won't play another game of football in 2014, and are without a doubt better then the blokes playing in those jerseys:

7. Peter Wallace (c) (with Sowie going back to 6)
11. Bryce Cartwright
12. Tyrone Peachey
13. Elijah Taylor

At full strength, our best backrow is the one that is currently sitting on the sidelines. Those second rowers and their attacking brilliance they offer, also saw them as our 3rd and 4th choice halves once Wallace and John were injured. These guys are losses to our full strength team, the likes of John, Jennings, Yeo, Kite etc. are losses that compile these losses as we're choosing players further down the pecking order to cover injuries.

Say what you will about how you rate those players. Take their equivalents out of another team and those fans wouldn't be any more optimistic about their chances in the finals.

We'll lose this week with a side with more holes than swiss cheese and this thread'll get an almighty bump.

I won't reply to it all because this is pointless but I will request 1 answer, prove to me with unconditional evidence that we are cheating the cap, or are you just speculating like the other muppets on this forum believing into the reports out of hope more than anything else.

I have no doubt your hate towards Brisbane is fuelled by broncos2010 and if you hadn't taken such offense to his bait I probably wouldn't have written any of this but I find it astounding that the majority of you can say without any indication of doubt in your mind that Brisbane are cheating the cap, how can this be?

All I have read is media reports.

I don't care for our list 10 years ago, I am talking about now. Prove to me now that this Broncos team has cheated the cap, if you can't do it then don't say it.

Lol. Barba and Boyd have had very forgettable seasons. Deadset duds in the 2014 season.

Moylan is cheaper then both and delivered more then they have combined.

If you truly believe it's been handed to them on a platter, you're about as ignorant of a professional sporting environment as anyone can be.

They've had a draw that certainly hasn't hurt them, but they've been the most consistent week in, week out in beating sides they should. That's a credit to their coach, their preparation, their mental application.

Apart from the Sharks loss they've pretty well put away every side they should've beaten and competed every week with the big sides (apart from Roosters a few weeks ago)

They deserve to be where they are. They probably won't make impact in September but gee, to be where they are after the rabble they were just over two years ago is fairly impressive.

Co-incidently, the exact same situation Ivan walked into at the Warriors in 2005. Inherited a complete dogshow and made the top four two years later.

blaza, are you taking the piss? Because if you think Penrith's top 4 spot has been "gifted" to them, you are kidding yourself
