Penrith's draw this year...

This year will/should be remembered as the Panthers that made the top four (if we do) by doing it with 10-12 first graders out.

Other teams will now have no excuse as far as injuries is concerned.

We have set the bar and against all odds,we have become an example of what can be done when you have the right people and everyone on the same page.

Even if we don't go further than our first or second game in the finals,I'm never going to be feeling more proud than I will after it all ends.

And it won't end there.

Steady on, mate. You're obviously a little over-excited and just starting to make shit up to prove a point to people you should be ignoring. Of the players currently injured:

Players definitely in Cleary's Top 17

Wallace
Kite (who most of us don't rate)
Taylor

Players who were only just establishing themselves in the Top 17

Peachey
Cartwright

Back-ups/Promising Youngsters

G. Jennings
John

Players who haven't actually missed a game yet:

Segeyaro

And Yeo and Simmons.

It is over the top but I know I haven't felt immense pride for my team in a long time. We're obviously going to get overexcited.

Surely the Storm will take care of these pretenders this weekend

Its only matter of time before the ship sinks and all the panthers fans that have been hiding under a rock like max and ACTPanther for last couple years go back in their spots.

We have finals games to play.
Who will you be supporting, now that your cap cheating has-beens are next to no chance?

You just don't get it do you? 99% of Panthers supporters will be just as proud of the team regardless of the result on Monday. Or the rest of the season for that matter. Although given your form predicting our doom lately Melbourne may as well stay home.

Yep, we're already happy. Keep it up though broncos2010. Our other lucky troll is hiding out in Wobbie's basement.

Don't worry donkeys1908, we will be proud of our team whether we win or lose, cos we can rest easy on monday night knowing we will play finals football this year, unlike your mob of overpaid, salary-cap cheating princesses who will have their mad Monday in the first week of September.

I love how every week he just keeps saying we will lose the following week and has been wrong more often then not. We will eventually lose one, possibly even this week.

But it's no more concerning then when any other team loses a game. As it stands, we're one of only 3 teams who are on a 3 game or longer winning streak anyway.

The current winning streaks are:

Souths - 5 games (Eels, Raiders, Knights, Sea Eagles and Broncos)
Panthers - 3 game (Bulldogs, Dragons and Cowboys)
Roosters - 3 game (Dragons, Titans and Tigers)

I've bolded the wins against teams inside the top 8... and as you can see the Panthers winning streak contains two teams that are currently sitting in the top 8. Bulldogs were actually top 4 until we beat them, and Cowboys were on a roll and looking to push their way into the top 4 until we beat them.

The draws getting harder for the Panthers, the squad is getting weaker through injuries but the results so far haven't changed.

Looks like you beat the Bulldogs (a team which Brisbane put 40 points on) and you beat the Cowboys in Sydney

my god, what a streak!

It's still the equal second longest streak in the competition, and against higher ranked sides then the other two teams on winning streaks.

Let me look at the Broncos current streak... oh my bad. It's just a 42-16 thumping from the Bunnies.

you keep trying to insult Brisbane fans, any real Brisbane fan knows how shit their team is (including myself and I have said it more than once). Nothing you say can make me feel worse about my club's current situation and I could dish you out many of excuses but I won't because I know what a classy individual I am, however Penrith fans on the other hand can't accept that their draw this season basically handed them a position in the finals on a platter. You've beaten some or the worst teams this year (twice) and you've had to play some of the better teams this year only once.

Penrith supporters claim the high ground on that, they think they're in the finals because they have a superhuman roster with a superhuman coach, this Penrith side is that good that they didn't even lose a single player during origin. There you go, that's how good they are.

If you want to compare Penrith to Brisbane, we can do that. Sure, no problem. Phil Gould went out and spent time at the Broncos because he wants to mimic the professionalism at the Broncos, how's that for a comparison? your club aspires to be what Brisbane is and has been for the last 25 years, at the moment we aren't getting the results on the field but that's only just around the corner.

I read some halfwit saying "I will be happy if we make it the top 4, whatever else happens is a bonus", oh so you're willing to watch your team get pummelled into submission in consecutive weeks just because you got it handed to you via the NRL. I'd be happy with that too, well played Phil.

We're happy with making the finals because this is a work in progress. It's not because we're a small time club but because we have already exceeded expectations and are well on track to be in contention for the title in the next two years. Next year I'll probably be disappointed if we don't make the prelims. Regardless of how easy a draw is, Penrith of previous years would have come 11th so I'm just happy to have a team to support in September and go to work proud each Monday for a change.

Feel better now? How about you now waste some more time talking nonsense about another club you don't even support? How about...the Titans? No-one ever talks about the Titans. Go!
