Three sessions back into the lifting heavy and I am less than 2 kilos short of benching 50 kg again.

Probably shouldn't have added 6kg today though, I really felt it.

In 2011 I set a goal to drop some pounds, I was 82kg.

I changed my diet, lifestyle and 14 weeks later was down to 68kg. A loss of 14kg.

I have gone back up to a more healthy 72kg now and consistently kept it off without too much change.

For the first 6 weeks, despite changing my diet and exercising so much, I didn't lose a kilo, but the next 8 weeks saw me drop 14kg.

Feel great! Took a lot of discipline, and am now doing Battlecamp 3 days a week to maintain as well as cooking at home rather then taking the easy way out.

Nice work mate, what you've done isn't easy. There's a trend over the past decade for males to 'bulk up', but having had to always watch my weight and keep it under control, I know how difficult and frustrating it can be. Keep it up mate.

Did my first half marathon today. Knackered now!

Congrats, top effort!

I weighed in at 89kg this weekend, first time I've been under 90kg since about 2005, and about 16kg lighter than I was at the start of the year. Will prolly try to get down to about 85 at which point I'll be fairly lean, then probably switch to putting a bit of bulk back on, would like to be a lean 90kg eventually. Only downside is my squat strength has taken a hammering, nowhere near as strong as I was when I was a bit tubby and concentrating on lifting. Way fitter overall though.

So I did the half mara distance for the first time today too. No speed records (took me about 2hr 19) but pretty chuffed that I managed to do it at all.
