I agree somewhat, the thing with QS is he, or she, takes the opposing view on every topic that isn't the majority, which is fine to give some balance.
Like I said last night, it's just getting too obvious. His, or hers, "stance" on this would be anti-Bomber if this place was pro. Makes it hard to believe there is any passion there except to be obtrusive.
Kind of like how Reefy used to be haha.

I'm going to give my perspective on where everything really went wrong in this whole coaching theatre act, some will not like what I'm about to say at all.
Management were doing a great job in hiding the Bellamy talks, the fact is it was only found out when Bellamy himself told Rothfield that there was a Sydney club also in the mix for his services. Firebombs went off in Buzz's head and he went on the charge. Low and behold it was the very team he goes for that had been vying for the services of Bellyache.

I feel that Bellamy did this intentionally, for whatever angle he was gunning for.

This finding out by Buzz is where the club really f**ked up.
As much as we all hate the bloke, he can be used to suit an agenda.
If the management had quietly taken Sloth under their wing and given him any "exclusive" I can guarantee you that his vitriol against the club these last couple of months would not have happened. In fact he would have eased the semi-moron publics angst, made out the club was heading in the right direction and absolutely no outrage would have occurred.
Even the players would have a different attitude right now if it had been handled this way.

Peace.

Nice post..

What I prob didn’t explain so well is what got me riled was the pile on of the sack everybody chorus.. like Wilton, Tracey, the ball boy,the ball, rugba league it self, life, the universe and everything

It’s been addressed in a couple of the threads but hell, let’s have a few pages on it.

This year is a write off. I am ok with that.
What else could be expected with the big five taking up $4 million of cap.
Sj/Aw/Jd/Mm/Af. What a stupid f**king piece of club admin.
That’s the f**kin stitch up right there. Also they are all the same kind of player-flighty and inconsistent. They have packed their bags and good riddance.
Now to my esteemed colleagues who are going on about the board and Morris. It’s done. Time will tell. I back the decision, if it turns out that we f**ked it. So be it, at least they are having a shot at greatness.
But most people in here having a circle jerk over signing Ar after watching one bunnies game then f**king running the bath to get the razors out and flaming the entire squad, it’s comical. Kiss this season good bye, have some perspective about what is trying to be built for the future and SUPPORT the team.
For me the most concerning development from last night does concern Ar(aka: the shabbit.. half rabbit, half shark ..destroyer of worlds.side note ..I watch bunnies games since my best buddy is a fan).
Anyway, I’d be watching Chad on 800 k and be asking for 1 mill, not the same money as Chad. That decision in the 5th minute of the second half in a 3 on 2 to pass the ball to Hughes was so dumb. Plus the pass for the first non try when he finally decides to play like a 18yr old... keep running son.. then the ball looks like it went back .

I’m all for the opposite position. I like the stance Quicksilver has taken, livens up the place . Some of the pile on in the game day thread went a bit too far.

Reminds me of the old days..
Sack everyone.
Bahahaha.
Putting the coaching debacle aside for a minute its obvious we are suffering with lack of depth as well as a few players not aiming up. I could sit here and critique every one of them but I am sure they already know how bad they were themselves. What they do between now and the end of the comp this year will determine the look of our side next year. Thats all we should be focusing on now as no theres chance of playing in the finals, if they continue to not aim up then see ya later.

My correct pronoun is ze

I don’t always swim against the tide, I’ll often go with the flow but I can’t agree with the club on this occasion.

It’s difficult to play ball with Buzz. I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him after the way the way he dragged Irvine through the mud following an off the record chat. What a violation of trust. That could have easily been terminal for the club. I know that a different political faction took over after Irvine but you can’t trust people like that. I’m happy for them to blacklist him.

He’s just poison. Can’t have him anywhere near the joint, at any cost. The stitch up on Damo was like kicking a puppy. Disgusting.

ha. I didn’t see this before I posted. I can’t get past that. What a snake.

"often"? nah. You play your game, you've just become too obvious about it.
Keep seeking, you accept mediocrity from the team and club. Your choice.

I know lm alone on this. Ive said it before l would have Matt Moylan. We are better when hes in the side.
He would compliment Reynolds better than SJ.
Yep I am a fan of that idea, but even if we don't get AR I'd be happy with MM playing outside of SJ. When Moylan first came to us he played 5/8 or fb and was terrific, even having slowcoach inside him. The hammy injury in his 2nd season with us was the big problem and he just didn't recover but this year he has been very good and I would love to see him playing outside SJ. Old slowcoach is our biggest problem.

I’m not the one that’s happy with just writing off a whole season after 5 rounds. In the last two weeks we have been beaten by the worst team in the comp, then backed it up with 40 against.

I expect more.

Abysmal leadership, expectation and communication from the top.

Morris has no more impact positive or negative. These results are on players and effort. It’s been a disgrace.

Tell me you’re kidding?

You’ve watched a team go from scoring 40 points in a game and being generally competitive (despite the limitations of the team) to being beaten by possibly one of the WORST teams of the last decade.

If this is the kind of blame shifting that the club is perpetuating (and people like yourself are echoing) then I don’t see a good path forward unfortunately.

No accountability, just passing of blame.

Good luck.

You’re kidding QS?!?!?

Their performances are due to a massive overdose of sooking. They need to do THEIR f**kING JOB!

Not saying anymore about this, I broke my own rule.

If you don’t see a way forward get off then.

Morris coach - team happy as he provided contract security and warm blanket of mediocrity that the players took advantage of.

Morris gone - team unhappy as they are now exposed to the reality of performance management and have showed their true colours by not fighting for the club or themselves. Mentally weak and showing it ever since their security blanket got taken away. Pathetic.

You’re asking for professionalism from the players.

The players turn up on Wednesday morning and they unexpectedly don’t have their coach any more. Plans in disarray, directionless, expectations unknown.

Sounds like an environment to thrive in. Real professional.

Deadset, the place is a shambles.

For how much you talk up this new super coach you seem to have very little appreciation of the role of the coach in coordinating the team.

It’s an NRL team and we just expect them to pick up the clipboard and direct themselves haha.

mind boggling. Absolutely baffling.

Bring back John, bring back John!

What if there were similar results under bomber? With our injuries, may have been the case?

Then we’ve got an ongoing storyline of either ‘bomber has to go now’ or ‘players are sooking with bomber’.

Fact is, regardless, this year at best we scrape into the finals and get bundled out with ease. That was always the case whether it was bomber or Fitz coaching. Bomber not playing feef over friggen magoo showed me he thought that too.

It’s tough, but once they signed Fitz, bomber was a dead man walking. Had to go. Everyone can still whinge at the board, but at least the decision has been made and we don’t have the ongoing circus playing out week to week.

You turn up at work on a wednesday and the boss has gone.
Everybody falls in a hole and nobody knows what to do. Everybody immediatley forgets everything theyve ever learnt and the new bloke who takes over starts talking about stuff which is totally new that nobodys ever heard before so you all just give up.

Yep. That could happen.
