Regardless Adelaide will be the next location we need to start building some support and test the waters. Rabbits are a good team to do it with their wider geographic appeal.
Yep you`re right there, the seed has been planted with the successful Perth bid, now it`s time to give the SA Govt plenty of time to start planning for when they put in a bid for an NRL franchise.

Allianz is a modern facility, Souths don't need to move home games to Adelaide or NZ. Only home game to move is the Good Friday game against the Dogs every second year.

The reason why Souths were selling home games to Perth is because they haven't been happy with Accor for a long time. The RWC final will be hosted at Accor in '27. The last time Accor hosted the RWC final was in '03. The stadium is still the same today as it was back in 2003.

They don’t need to sure but I’d say they still will, they’ve shopped games out to Cairns, Sunshine Coast, Central Coast, Perth, Brisbane etc just in recent years, I doubt they’ll go back to 12 in Sydney but we’ll see.

I know I sound like a broken record but the Adelaide sharks are a perfect fit and could operate on a similar model to that of the Perth bears.

Souths have been playing 8-10 games in Sydney for a while and selling/moving the rest. I can see them going with 10 in Sydney next year if they get Allianz then moving 2 home games. If the Allianz move doesn’t happen probably more like 3-4 games moved.

Where they move them who knows but Adelaide would be good, or NZ.
That fits if Souths play 10 at Allianz.
I’m expecting Saints will play 2 there in 26. Vs Chooks on Anzac Day (our turn), and 2nd game Vs Dogs (as part of the new agreement).

Didn’t realise there was a deal that’s good news, thanks for pointing it out.

That means Allianz you would have to think, Accor maybe.

Makes sense for nrl to work with venues nsw and Perth bears have a Sydney membership of:

perth bears home game nso or allianz
souths, rooster @ Allianz
eels, tigers @commbank
dogs @ Accor

6 game membership.

(ideally St’s at Allianz as well but St’s dont seem ready to move there yet. )

Saints having 2 games in 2026 at Allianz is a great start and maybe testing the waters a bit. I think this could easily expand to 4: home games against Bulldogs, Chooks (if Anzac game is away), Rabbits and Sharks. Could add Bears to this group. Then 2 in Kogarah and 6 at WIN.

I'd like to see Saints aiming for an average of 35k at the Allianz games and 15k average at Kogarah and WIN for a total average of 21k. All clubs should be working towards 20k as the minimum average for the year.

I'd be hoping the Bears too can smash a bunch of sell outs in the first couple years and push for the 27k upgrade of HBF. Bears will be a bit of an unknown crowd-wise but I feel like there's a possibility they could quickly get to a 20k average. A bears Sydney away games membership could also really boost Sydney crowds.

I much rather see clubs like Manly and Cronulla, with less desirable home grounds, take a game to Adelaide. Dolphins could take a few games to the Sunshine Coast instead of Kayo.

The only home games Souths should move is either Good Friday against the Dogs or Magic Round. Plus over $800 million has been spent on SFS 2.0. Let's utilize it.

Its all about the $'s. If you can get a good deal then its a big money earner selling home games.

I’d rather see the Bears v the Roosters at Central Coast Stadium, the Bears were trying for years to go there and the Roosters virtually jumped straight in there.
The Roosters should embrace the area and play multiple game there instead of just a trial match and one NRL game.

Nah, Id rather Roosters played Perth at Allianz and included it as a part of a sydney Perth Bears membership.
