It really isn't that hard to understand.

Australian companies get on board, which provides jobs for wives and other families members to make the recruits transition better.

In an area with a decent enough standard ground, The odd game there to thank those businesses/locals
You lot just get sillier and sillier.

It'll still have the running track so you can't see shit.

You watching how far the seats are away at Eden Park?

Or when Storm play at Marvel
Hell Perth should have games at Optus when they come in.

We are talking a training field and odd games, Eventually the side would be based at PNG full time. So making mass improvements makes zero sense

Another huge, baseless leap of faith, Jesus wept!

Then the side has their hub somewhere else f**k me it isn't that difficult.

We are commenting on a report that side is based in Cairns. That is all.

I certainly haven't said this is the best way because I don't think it is. I am speculating that it is only possible if the UPGRADES as reported happen.

I don't know what more can be done but speculate until we have the details

No, and I couldn't give a rat's ass either. Those are big grounds for event games, not low key trials for a team from another country that will likely finish behind Wests Tigers. In the hottest part of the year in Far North Queensland.

And twice the annual rainfall of Townsville, and three times that of Sydney and Brisbane

Cmon your a reasonable poster

there are obvious solutions to where they play games

whilst cairns is a likely base brisbane could still be the base

being Australian based makes it easier to attract players and cancels out any alleged safety issues

who knows if cairns now receives a ground upgrade too from the feds and state govt

Again then they have their somewhere else.

You are carrying on like I personally came up with this plan

A Pasifika side out of Brisbane makes more sense, especially if it is stupidly going to be next up

Based in Sydney or Brisbane are the only options that make sense if the team has to be based in Australia. I’m sure some of that sweet government cash can be used to build/upgrade some training facilities. Could also use it as a “central” base for PacificAusSports Rugby League development/pathway programs.

A pacific team based on east coast of Australia, so rugba league lol.

at least union gave it some credibility by having the two pacific teams actually based in pacific islands.

The Pacific Ocean is on the east coast of Australia so makes perfect sense, especially basing the team there in the infancy years

It wouldn't be a permanent thing.

I expect Perth to have something similar for 10 or so years, If only just to let those 15 and 16 year olds finish school at home.

You are going to need several good sport schools for starters, that program takes time

You're not going to get top tier players to relocate to Port Moresby. If you don't want the club to be permanent cellar dwellers then it has to be based in a location where they can play a decent amount of the season there. I can't see the Sydney clubs wanting another team in their backyard so the next best alternative is Brisbane.

8 home and away games in Brisbane against the 4 Queensland clubs. 8 home games in Port Moresby on consecutive weekends to cut down travel. 8 away games elsewhere.

Get some decent profile Queensland players to sign and you've got a defacto 5th Queensland team, similar to how Queenslanders watch Storm games.
