Petition to have EA Sports make a Rugby League game

You have to be realistic in regards to a League game. Of course, it'd be fantastic the have the development spent on a League game as Madden, or FIFA, or even NHL for that matter.
But it won't happen.
BUT- it would be nice to see a better effort made. Somewhere between what League and gaming fans want, and what EA want to invest, is the ideal spot/compromise. And it isn't that much to ask IMO- The sort of effort put into both AFL & the Union games would be fine by me.
The graphics are solid but not spectacular- but would do. What they need, are some good League consultants to help them get the gameplay better. People who know the game well (and ideally gamers themselves).

Would it be feasible to get the NRL and ESL to chip in to cover the losses for a year to see how a good one goes? Hell, sell it cheap as marketing to help get sponsors.

Just thinking about it, playing Cricket 2010- and that isn't too shabby, quite a fun game- I wouldn't mind seeing Codemasters coming up with a game. They made Jonah Lomu Rugby on the PS1, which was the best of it's kind at the time, and still plays a good game.
I think Codemasters could do a really good playable League game. Their presentation isn't quite as slick as an EA one, but if it looks good and plays well, it wouldn't matter too much.

Lomu does... I'd say it all comes down to control layout. I don't understand why they keep messing with it when they practically perfected it nearly 20 years ago.

Yep, and add League being a simpler game, the possibility to have a decent game is high.
