12-6 at halftime. Where close enough to win this. Bulldogs tend to drop off in the second half. We just need to hang on to the ball.

TBH I'm sort of happy we didn't win after that performance.

We were so flat that it was hard to believe it was a grand final qualifier. Souths would have murdered us if we had snuck hone.

Still it was a great season and bring on 2015.

Saved their worst performance of the 2nd half of the season for tonight's game sadly. Soward and the key players were generally disappointing (Segs was ok) the forwards weren't good enough either. Mansour and DWZ were excellent but you can't win a game based on wingers.

Happy with the season but disappointed with how it ended. Hope Souffs win next week, the Bulldogs aren't the premier team in the comp, lol.

The worse game we have played in 3 months and still only lost by 6. Proud of the boys none the less, never thought we would be in this position to start with.

Just in from the game. Very disappointed but what a great season it's been. It was a good old fashioned grinding final, the sort of thing Bulldogs sides built their reputation on.

From where I sat I thought we got some tough calls in the first half, the second seemed better.

We played as well as we were allowed to. The Bulldogs defence close to the line was better than ours, that was the difference I feel. We stayed in it until the very end but were the second best side on the field.

It was an amazing effort for us to get to play one game short of the gf considering our injury toll but there is no denying that was a very disappointing performance tonight. We just couldn't hang on to the ball and our attack was woeful with inside ball after inside ball and players running around in circles looking for someone to pass the ball to. We had so many opportunities to score but just weren't good enough to cross the line. Considering we were pretty average and the dogs just beat us, you would think the bunnies will pump them next week.

Very proud of how far we came this season. Improved leaps and bounds. Certainly left one of our worst attacking games for the year for this one unfortunately.

Full credit to dogs to hold us out, our attack was sideline to sideline - which is unlike what we have typical ly done this year - and they ate it up :(

The only silver lining is that I think the Rabbits would have smashed us in the final if we had got through. With the injuries and a couple of weak spots in the squad, we aren't at the level yet where we can consistently match it with the very top teams.

A+ for effort, C for execution. Still proud as f**k that the team went that far. Special mention to Mansour, best on the park last night by a mile.

I am gutted. I fully expected to beat the dogs but it wasn't to be. Even deep into the last 5 minutes I thought we'd snatch a late try and head into extra time.

We played one of our worst games for a long a time. I find it hard to work out whether we just had an off night or the Dogs forced us into playing bad.

You do have to admire the Dogs though. With a key player off the field and another one seriously constrained by a bad knee they showed the sort of grit that club is famous for.

The Panthers, though, what can you say - they did exceptionally well.

Most people. fans, pundits and commentators thought the Panthers would be the big improvers this year and they were right. Though I don't think most would have had them still playing in the penultimate game of the year.

But what that says is that the season was not a fluke or an aberration, it ws part of a plan that all could see- and more good things can be expected from the team in coming seasons.

There are still an enormously challenging tasks ahead - attendances for one.

We need to get all those at last nights game to become ticketed members and turn up regularly next season. Couldn't be much prouder than seeing them play last night. Not bad for a team that wasn't supposed to be there! The rub of the green didn't go their way and I think quite a few of them were a bit overawed, but still only lost by six and had jamal drop that bomb. I wanted them to be able to compete in the final series and give everybody a thrill. They certainly did that! I think that this was as big a thrill for me as making the 1990 GF! Thanks to all the supporters there last night and against the Roosters, it was some of the best and loudest I can remember, and I have been going to games since the start in 67!
See you all loud and proud next season! (1991, 2003, 2015 -all year of the goat!)

Not a great performance but oh well thats footy. Two mistakes in our own 10 metres cost us that game. On to next season.

Considering we were missing our halfback, back up halfback, Peach, Cartwright and Elijah Taylor and we played pretty poorly, falling one converted try short of a grand final was an amazing effort. With our injured players back on board, the experience gained last night and the addition of youngsters like RCG, Waqa Blake and possibly Jennings and Rus packer we can all be take comfort in the knowledge there are good times ahead for panther fans.

Pretty gutted after last night but pretty happy with the year all in all.

Soward probably saved his worst for last imo. I haven't looked at the stats yet but I can't remember him running the ball once. The dogs had a plan to niggle him to put him off his game and it worked. The fact that our Forwards stood there and let James Graham mouth off at him was unforgivable. Which leads me to my next point.

We need an enforcer. A forward leader who doesn't take that kind of shit. Someone like Mason, Burgess, JWH, Gallen, Bird. Say what you want about them but they don't let their little blokes get bullied like ours did last night. If they saw Moylan copping forearms from Ennis, Segs being pushed around by Graham or Sowie copping a mouthful they would put a stop to it. Kite just isn't the bloke to do it unfortunately

Zero run metres for Soward ( NRL stats ). Too much side to side stuff. Much like we did at the start of the year.

Should be better for the experience. Come on the year of the Goat ( Panther ).
