Bit harsh mate I thought at Parra showed a lot of guts and tenacity compared to some of the powder puffs we have had over the years and basically was one of our biggest hitters, no I wouldnt swap him for the above, but deserves a little better to what you served up, by the way he was happy to stay at Parra its just we only offered him a short term deal.

I agree, I thought we got good service out of PJ

Now, while he's a good player I think PJ is a bit of a dick...but I agree with him to an extent. Henjak is, IMO, a Haganesque coach and PJ has been a victim of that. He might have had his injuries, but he's done well for them every time, played well for the Comets, and yet Henjak still think Aaron-bloody-Gorrell is a better player for some reason...He probably doesn't deserve to start over McCullough but he sure as sh*t deserves to play over Gorrell

I don't know what he was like off the field like you all seem to do BUT on the field he was briliant off the bench. He used to do what Kingston does atm but way better.

Yeah I agree, when I wrote it I was wondering whether I was being a bit harsh about his trime at the eels.
Point is at this particular time he is not better than those at the Broncos, but ego and an over inflated sense of his worth is something PJ never had short supply of.

PJ is/was an awsome player. Some people have short memories. His impact off the bench was like Kinga's is now only with big hits in defence thrown in.

Kind of like Mat Rogers when he was in the Wallabies. Disposable.

I never has much to do with him off the field only once at a signing session at Parklea where he was so unimpressed to be there he only signed his name as 'PJ' on my posters.

God imagine what his ego would be like if he was good enough to be a starting hooker

I agree,

As to why he isn't playing in the Bronx NRL team, there may be other reasons other than form.

What the f**k is wrong with you people? I wholeheartedly agree with what he is saying. He could just sit on the sidelines and soak up his cash, but he is stating that he wants to play for it? Wow, crucify the man. For those that are knocking his ability as well, he was devastating off the bench for us and played well above his weight. He was a main contributor in the 2006 season where we almost made the Grand Final.

If you also don't remember he issued a statement to us before he left to play for the Broncos that basically said that whilst he was moving on, he really enjoyed playing for us and was regretful that he had to go.

You make me sick. I would take him back in a heartbeat if the position vacated.

There's a difference between expressing to you club/coach/manager that you are busting to play footy, and having a temper tantrum and taking the story to the media...

Sorry PJ - but you had a regular first grade gig at the Eels who resurrected your career from the Warriors.

You were popular amongst the fans and coaching staff but chose to chase the dollars and the opportunity to play at a glamour club.

You made your bed - now lay in it without the whinging!!!

Matt Rogers was fantastic with the Wallabies! He was never given a chance to fully settle into any one position (five-eight, inside centre, fullback, wing) but he was virtually the only attacking spark the Wallabies had. Or the Waratahs, for that matter. By far the best League convert to play union!

I am neither a Broncs nor a parra fan but live in Qld and am more than a little amused by Marsh's complaint.
In 2 years he has played 15 NRL matches and 9 Q Cup matches and been injured for the remainder. If Gorrell was consistently getting a start ahead of him he might have slight grounds for complaint as Gorrell is nothing flash but from what I have seen in a couple of Q Cup games Marsh is not much better.
McCullough is vastly superior to both.
Sounds a bit more like him (or his manager/leech) getting his name "out there" in the hope that he can get a release and a run elsewhere rather than the likely scenario of fading into oblivion/retirement at the end of 2010.

To be fair, people don`t generally take things to the media. Generally the media come sniffing around like mangy dogs - their tounges dragging along the ground, saliva drooling from their jowls, their eyes burning.

Your problem is -
1. You obviously confuse his playing abilities at 29 to the level at which he was playing at 22.
2. You have obviously never met PJ Marsh.
