It was disgusting. There was one guy sitting near me that shouted something to the effect of "f**k off Poore, go back to the Dragons on your 300k contract, you are f**king useless, we don't want you here anyway. Cayless is double your age and has more of a dig than you" and then when Mannah walked by he was like "Fire up your forwards Mannah, you are all playing like softcocks"... He took a brief glance to the side when walking back to the bench, probably to see if it was an Eels fan, which it was. The thing is I think they were actually trying tonight, which made it all the more upsetting when we lost.

There are some fans that talk absolute bs as well lol. If you are going to have an opinion learn the rulebook.

There is the other side of the coin there, where you get precious fans that look at you as if you have commited murder when you say one explicitive in the heat of frustration. Watch it at home if you are so offended. I always check to see if there are children within earshot and there wasn't.

That Bay 48 lady sounds like Parra Pete lol.

Swift,

I sincerely hope that Poore didnt hear that :(

That's it ive concluded that im going to befriend 10 massive islanders. Then when i hear someone bag the players out i will tell them off so bad and then hide behind my new friends :)

Yeah I couldn't see where Poore actually went off, so I don't think that he did. lol, I would tell you that you are a girl so you wouldn't need to hide behind anyone because they can't hit you, but I'm not sure if they'd adhere to those rules...

haha have you SEEN some of the female supporters. It's them im more scared of, they DEFINITELY have more testosterone in them than half our team.

It is terrible to hear that abuse was hurled at J Poore. He and Reddy spent part of their off season in Rawanda helping to build houses for the locals. Justin Poore and Joel Reddy whom I have met are wonderful young men. They are the very type of players that the game needs to promote. Justin Poore goes back to his old school to see the teachers (those terrible public school teachers that the Rudd Government love to bash) and help out. He has a brother there.

There was no abuse needed. They were drunk. Why abuse Poore and Mannah? They made over 15ms a run with Poore getting 18m a hit-up.

It's not right. This is the stuff that will make our players not even consider resignning with the club.

I honestly think sometimes there should be a complete alcohol ban for Parramatta Stadium or a limit.

And what Sarah said about Grothe being abused. WTF he has been our best player all year. Plenty of metres and offloads.

as mentioned before one or 2 more losses and those bandwagoners will be gone and we'll have the true supporters there. Problem is is there enough of those to get crowds big enough to pay all the bills?
I'm so over fans abusing players, i mean how many of those fans have played NRL footy anyway? I use the term fans very loosely.

I resent that implication.
1. I would never yell out at a game, I have too much respect for the athletes
2 I would DEFINITELY not swear at any player
3 I have played, coached, watched, written about, and been an administrator for over 50 years
4 I don't care if you don't like my opinions - or my views on the game, but don't brand me as something I am not - that is a feral loud, foul mouthed Rugby League watcher (I wouldn't call the person you are referring to as a fan or supporter or a lady)

There's passion for the team there and everyone displays it differently... IMO some people take it too far and it really spoils it for the supporters around them. the players don't need to hear that type of abuse whilst they are trying to focus on the game.

The way I see it, as a club, we're a family. The players are the more successful sibling we're jealous of lol.

I digress - as a family, and as supporters, I feel we need to show them more support when they're struggling.

That's just me though.

And kicking a guy when he's down is a low act - did they really boo when the Raiders player went off injured? That's low.

I think its really shocking. I know that it happens a bit but the language that some of the supporters use is absolutely unacceptable. I remember one game a few years back where this guy was yelling the most awful abuse imagineable at the Dragons players and telling the Parra players to do some awful things to them (I wont repeat the exact words).

I can understand being disappointed in the team. They need to play smarter etc.

But the way its expressed by some people! Where do these people come from??! Did they crawl out from under a rock or something?!
