Talking of hair - Kalifi Fai Fai Loa from Saint George is a guy set for a huge year.

He came to the Knights in 2008 from NZ with stories saying he had broken try scoring records set by SBW. He didn't set the world on fire at the Knights, but was good enough to play most of the NYC season after Ball finished.
For some reason the Knights let him go, and Saints threw him a lifeline, and he repayed them by making the NYC team of the year in 2009, and i'd say he must be favourite to be top try scorer in NYC this season, because he knows how to find the tryline. A bit of a Nathan Blacklock type player.

Kalifi released for discipline reasons.

Very hard to pick just 5 for saints...

we have a brilliant team on paper

Henry
Stanley
Hancock
King
Roche

For a club that has really struggled for a good 6,7,9 combo the future looks pretty fantastic for saints

Stanley hasn't really had to much footy yet though to be sure but the talent in he and Henry is remarkable!!

From a very good source at the Knights is that the coaching staff at The Knights and Joey Johns has got massive raps on Tyrone Roberts.

2 to add for the Storm since Chisholm, Duffie or O'Neill wont play much NYC this year.

Kirisome Avuaa and Tohu Harris.

Roberts has trained the entire off season with firstgrade and played the second half of the firstgrade trial the other day in the 6 - he has 2 years of NYC ahead of him still - played about 10 games last year after the Ball season.

Wow how many halfbacks have the Knights got ?

Whilst on Newcastle and halves ... I saw a young five eight from the Knights Matthews Cup last Saturday who really impressed me .... Sam Keenan - quick and unselfish ... jot his name down.

Returned to the Knights after a year at the dogs - will probably be starting half - but Roberts and Tyler Sullivan will be the halves by the end of the season - both future firstgraders.
David is from Kempsey and signed with the Dogs when he was 16 (he played SG ball and NYC with is). He was with the 'Dogs for more than a year.

From Kempsey originally but spent alot of his youth in Newcastle, attended Hunter Sports high, actually signed with the dogs when he was 17-18 I'm pretty sure.

Played SG Ball and 20's in 2008, and 20's in 2009.

Was with the dogs for two years, was unhappy, and Im guessing the mainr eason he, Neenan and Alai did go to the Knights is because Keith Onslow was at the dogs with them, and he would of shown alot of interest from Newcastle

He went to schol at Hunter Sports High - which means he was in the same classes and school squads with about half of the Knights NYC team.

Yeah he signed with the dogs just shy of his 18th birthday
I know Adrian personally, he wasn't getting much of a go at the dogs last year and is very happy to be back in Newie. He's on a 1 year deal so its a make or break year for him. Hope he does well, he's a good bloke, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, a real good kid

Pete would you be able to fill me in on Roche. I have heard a few things about him, is he a centre and where abouts is he from? He has been in the squad for a while hasnt he?

IMO for the Eels:

* Brad Graham - a winger with a mean streak.

* George Tafua - a back-rower that's a wrecking ball. Has shown some bad discipline and hands lately, but his attacking game is excellent.

* TK Amosa - under-rated 5/8. The guy has silky smooth skills, and he has great vision and leadership.

* Rory Brien - a centre with decent size and great pace.

* Pat O'Hanlon - a big second-rower with a great work-rate.
