Serious? You will never see a more humble player play first grade than Buderus. A dead set awesome bloke and excellent player. I thought he was always fairly respectful on the field despite the fact NRL referees are awful.

But lets have a look at the 2004 Dally M spine shall we? Lockyer moves to 5/8 and is the dally m 5/8 of the year. Better than Freddy? Really? Well at least there is some quality in that position that year.

Oh and look at who the dally m halfback of the year is, Brent Sherwin. What a gun!

At fullback we had the ever reliable but not superstar Luke Patten as dally m fullback of the year.

Excuse me if I just put it out there that 2004 was a pretty crap year for Dally M winners. Listened to Roosters fans talk about Amos? Bar Rauhihi, he was sublime.

Buderus was one of the hardest workers in the game. The only hooker who has been better than him in the last decade is Cameron Smith, who is a freak. Buderus' service from dummy half was magnificent, his defense was suburb and he took the line on well from dummy half.

In defense you can't split him and Smith, Smith wins because of the value he adds in attack.

Ahhh, so Buderus beat out the gun Finch and not Sherwin. If anything, Finch winning bolsters my argument that 2004 was a crap year for talent!

He's got his panties in a bunch because I think Hindmarsh is nothing but an overrated thug who gets away with the sort of shit on the field that, were it anyone else, they would be spending more than a few weeks on the sidelines.

Case in point, his high shot on TLL a few weeks back that went completely uncommented on, despite it being a swinging arm across the nose.

And watch how many times he drops the elbow or forearm into the tackled players head, even if he has to flop on late to do it. You'll be surprised at just how grubby he is. He's probably the biggest thug in the NRL, he just happens to be a protected species for some reason.
