I really hope Seibs digs his heels in now for a bigger payout then sues the arse off the Broncos organisation for causing emotional distress. Can't believe a shareholder would so brazenly call an individual a cancer to be cut out.

Im dumbfounded that there doesn't seem to be any talk about the Broncos signing Paul Green. Like...don't get me wrong, i hope more than anything in the world that they sign Kevvie Walters (for teh continued lolz) but if we're being serious here, Green is the absolute only choice; he's had success everywhere he's gone. His time in Townsville delivered the Cows two Grand Final appearances, our first premiership, two 9's titles and a couple of prelims. I think the time was right for him and the Cows to go our separate ways after 7 years, it was clear that the relationship had run its course (perhaps a season or two ago) but when you're looking at his coaching resume and comparing it to Kevvie Walters.... please.

He also had a strong and proven QLD cup record before he became an NRL coach. I believe Green was a Broncos assistant coach for some time as well. I really hope the board are looking at him seriously.

Nice quote but not sure how it applies to the shareholder's despicable comment about Seibold?

This bloke is obviously under pressure & feeling it as he has a bucketload of $$ invested in the club.

He could have (and I am sure he did) made his feelings known to the board, yet he chooses to make them publicly. For what purpose? Therein lies the answer.

Looks like today's the last day for the Harvard grad.

Doubt he'll ever land another head coaching gig in Aus after this one, certainly not one this lucrative, so no doubt his manager will be hard balling with that payout.

As you are probably aware, Paul Green ended his playing career at the Broncos in his final season in 2004. In 2005 he moved into coaching and was a specialist coach working with the halves and hookers, until 2008. In 2009 he was promoted to Assistant Coach at the Broncos. In 2010 he moved on to Wynum Manly, the Broncos feeder side, as an Assistant before taking over as head coach for 2011 and 2012.

2013 saw him hired by the Sydney Roosters to coach the Toyota Cup (U/20s) team and to be an Assistant for the NRL side.

In 2014 he was hired as the Head Coach of the North Queensland Cowboys.

Exactly. My, how the mighty have fallen.. just goes to show that no club is immune to the cyclical nature of sport - even if it takes some time to hit a low ebb.
Pure, utter arrogance from the Broncos administration over the years (going back to the years when Bennett was coaching them) led to the situation we see now.

No sympathy for them at all.

Interestingly Peter Sterling and other spoke about this on The Sunday Footy Show yesterday. The reason it had to be re-drawn was not because of what James Hooper espoused on air last week on Fox (i.e. that the Broncos stuffed it up) but because the Broncos found out that what TP Jr told them and what he told the NRL Integrity Unit were completely different stories. When the NRL informed the Broncos of what TP Jr told them, that is what caused the breach notice to be re-drawn.
The NRL has an "integrity unit"? An oxymoron if I've ever heard one.

Well there you have it. Champion Broncos fullback Darius Boyd, beloved by Newcastle and Brisbane fans everywhere for his whole-hearted performances every week has called for Broncos and Queensland legend Kevvie Pashun Walters to take on the adversity of being Broncos coach. And when it comes to adversity, Kevin knows how to produce it. Look at his time at Catalans.

The man who tries too hard every week says:

“If that was the case (him getting the job), the way the Broncos went, I’m sure the fans and everyone in rugby league would get behind him.”

I can definitely get behind Kevvie as Broncos coach. In fact I think all of LU would warm to the idea.

I couldn't stop laughing when I read "champion" and Darius Boyd in the same sentence.

The only shining light of Seibold resigning before Friday is that he maybe spared from 2 potential cricket-like scorelines in the next couple of weeks.

I wasn't aware that the Broncos' next two matches are against the Roosters and Panthers. The scorelines for these matches could get very ugly for the Broncos, as both those sides are capable of scoring 50+ points if they click on game day.
