in a very demonstrative way.
hewitt tried to intimidate the linesman.
Sort of what he did a few yrs back at the US open when he alluded to the same skin color of the linesman and james blake.
Hewitt is a mc enroe wannabe.

And the hilarious thing is when he was interviewed when he was about 13, Hewitt had said that he d liked Cash but didnt like the way he acts on the tennis court.   I was rolling on the ground for hours pissing myself after that!

Understatement IMO. ;-) He looked like his eyes were going to explode. The call was legitimate - it was the same when he had words with the chair umpire. Mind you Safin had similar words at one stage when he belived a call went against him. I think they do it to pump themselves up but often it is to their detriment.

In most sports if a player showed such disrespect to an official you can expect to sit on the sidelines for a few weeks. I guess tennis is kinda different in the way they argue a call. But some players take it way over the top.

safin spoke to the chair umpire, but it was not in an intimidating way. They spoke spanish and safin appeared to be very calm.
As for his calmness with his racquet, well thats another story!

Exactly.

Still, we are talking about a sport that allows 2nd chances.

That was the second time. He ripped in about a line call that he thought should have been called out - it happened before Hewitt and the umpire had words. The second time he spoke to him was after Hewitt was called for misconduct.

I seriously don't get all you people who hate Hewitt... !

Sorry dude, get over it.

Many Australian's hate Hewitt with a passion.

I don't have to justify why I hate him, I just do.

Good to see he looks like dropping out of the top 10.
